This event will take place on April 20, 2010 from 8:00-9:30 PM at Tom's Family Restaurant in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia (585 Sackville Drive).

It will be a discussion with Peter Moreira, author of "Backwater: Nova Scotia's Economic Decline." Mr. Moreira brings with him his decades of journalistic experience with such notable organizations as Bloomberg News and Canadian Press as well as his extensive research on the past, present, and future (if things don't change soon) state of Nova Scotia's economy.

Taxed Enough Nova Scotians (TENS) announces its first event with author, Peter Moreira

TENS is pleased to announce our first event featuring author, Peter Moreira.

The event will take place on April 20, 2010 from 8:00-9:30 PM at Tom's Family Restaurant in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia (585 Sackville Drive). Peter Moreira, author of Backwater: Nova Scotia's Economic Decline, will give a presentation which will be followed by a question and answer period and discussion groups.

"This is a great opportunity for Nova Scotians to hear a well-informed and dynamic speaker outline the realities of the potential looming economic crisis facing the province; as well as hear his ideas on how to avert it," said Mark L'Ecuyer, Communications Director for TENS. “Attendees will also be given an opportunity to put forward their ideas on how to improve Nova Scotia’s economy without having to rely on the current levels of high taxation.”
