A man who engaged in a sex act with a woman on an Air Canada flight to Halifax last year was given a conditional discharge Friday,
The Chronicle Herald reports.
Jason Chase, 40, and Alicia Lander, 26, were charged with committing an indecent act on a Jan. 24, 2014, flight from Toronto.
Chase pleaded guilty in January and was sentenced Friday to 18 months' probation, according to the report. If he completes it without any problems, his record will be cleared.
Lander was also charged with assaulting a police officer, causing a disturbance and mischief. Police said she became agitated and disruptive when they tried to speak to her and continued to resist them during her arrest.
She was convicted last month on all four counts and is due to be sentenced in July, The Chronicle Herald reports.
