We are still hoping to move to Nova Scotia but are unsettled about mixed views on the economy. My husband is fairly secure in his job as a truck driver in the logging industry here in the UK but works between 65-70 hours per week so family time is limited. We feel if we did move we would have a better standard of living but we really are trying to do our homework and researching, researching, researching. Any advise on the maritimes, economy, job prospects would be gratefully appreciated

If you are coming to Canada, the place to be is in the west not the maritimes.
The jobs are in the North of BC, Alberta, and the Province of Saskatchewan.

I would also like to live in Nova Scotia ... if you find out anything about how to do it, please update

As for whether it's a good idea to move there ... that's up in the air.
The houses are old and delapitated, musty. People move there from big cities and realize that they can't afford to go back to their previous life. What industry are you looking for ... trucking goes to NS, but it isn't a place to live for a job in trucking.
