I love saffron rice about as much as I enjoy curried rice. While it is easy to cook, for some darn reason, saffron is so expensive! Why not grow the darn thing domestically so it can be readily affordable to all?

Saffron is something of a racket because it's tough to grow so short supply = crooks @ every turn.

I have seen some Afghani grown product on the market but don't trust the people selling it.
