Shucking corn: you're doing it wrong

No, no, no!

If you do that there's a chance you might cook any bugs that might be inside of the leafs - then you'll be eating dead bugs with your corn. You don't want to get that in your teeth or your tummy.

Take the corn out of the husk, put it into the boil or oven, and in a few minutes it'll be done. Simple & tasty without the bugs!

I got a large bag of lettuce and gave it a good washing before putting some leaves into my soup. Good thing I did as there were a couple of dead bugs and what looked dirt (hopefully it was that and not night soil). After the washing, the lettuce gave good flavor and body to my soup. :)
