Would I do such a thing? You wouldn't be equating progressives like Obama to a snake oil salesman would ya??????
What doesn't it?What has this got to do with Obama?
You mean McCarty-ism.The cartoon is clearly some of the anti-communist propaganda typical of the late 40s and early 50s. It eventually culminated in the extremism of the McCarthy era and an end to many of the freedoms the cartoon espoused during its first few minutes.
Nope, since Harding College/University is irrelevant to the message.Did anyone check out the background of Harding College (Now Harding University) to see what it was all about? Here is a link, you might find it enlightening. Harding University - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I absolutely agree. I've been saying that since his campaign started.:canada:BTW Obama is a moderate conservative by Canadian standards.
Only in Canada would Harper be considered right wing. ;-)Only in the US would someone with his background and philosophy be considered liberal.

Obama's a Republican? It may have to do with his head being stuck up the Republican butt, but that is only a guess.
You think Harpy has his head up Obama's butt? Na! It would taste too liberal for him. Besides, you know as well as I, Obama is just the same as Bush but he wears sheep's clothing. The fangs are the same, they are just capped with wax.Obama's a Republican?
Your post would indicate that you did. Since Obama is in the White House, it would be the position of the President of the United States that Harper would be curling up to. Not the deposed political party. You think Harpy has his head up Obama's butt?
Really? Harper is actually a little further left then Obama actually.Na! It would taste too liberal for him.

Wow!!! No way!!! Say it isn't so!!! :roll:I said McCarthy era. Believe it or not that is where McCarthyism came from.
Did you miss the title of the thread? The source of the video is not relevant to the message? Isn't that like saying that what comes our of you mouth is irrelevant to the message? Harding University is a right wing ultra-religious institution. The cartoon accurately reflected its anti-communist values. Note that in spite of its spiel about the great American freedoms including freedom of speech the film ended with the citizens attacking the spokesperson they disagreed with.
Well, perhaps maybe Sweden, Oz, Norway, China, Brazil, Russia, Ireland, etc. might be considered a bit left-wing, too. At least as far as being progressive goes, anyway.Only in Canada would Harper be considered right wing. ;-)

Unfortunately, those aren't nations, with whom our PM is oft compared, or measured against.Well, perhaps maybe Sweden, Oz, Norway, China, Brazil, Russia, Ireland, etc. might be considered a bit left-wing, too. At least as far as being progressive goes, anyway.
Sorry you missed a lot.Apparently the first two posts after the original were meaningless. Sorry I missed that.
When you don't duck the obvious...it becomes clear non?:lol:Unfortunately, those aren't nations, with whom our PM is oft compared, or measured against.
Sorry you missed a lot.
Oui!When you don't duck the obvious...it becomes clear non?
Sorry you missed a lot.
Condescension will get you what you deserve, if you can't handle it, don't do it .Goodness, Bear. And I mistakenly thought you were going to attempt meaningful and intelligent replies. Sorry for actually thinking that your PM meant something.
