From what little I know of Kevin Rudd, he comes across as a one in a million as far as politicians are concerned. Straight forward and honest and doesn't take any crap. Am I reading him right?

You must remember this is a different sort of guy, he is of all things a Labour Prime
Minister. Most on the left these days are of the mushy middle variety. Most are
politically correct, they can't make a firm policy on anything, they repeat the phrases
of global warming like they were well worn versus of scripture.
Rudd just tells it like it is, to a population that is fed up with the crap they have been
spoon fed for over a decade. I think he is going to be around for awhile.
May the Federal Liberals could learn something here, before their next leadership
convention which will be soon, I believe the Libs are in more trouble than Harper's
Tories, but if an election were held we would see another minority, Quebec is still
with the Bloc and no one gets a majority with a strong Bloc in Quebec.
The Parliament we have has become a political heard, all clustering around the
mushy middle without an individual thought in sight, it will take someone like Rudd
to change the perception of politicians. Is Rudd something special? He says what
he thinks, should be normal fair but it isn't personally I like him
