$130 a barrel of oil is hurting the economy as well driving ordinary people to real hardship while the Government of Canada has no balls to help stimulate the economy and spare Canadians from this stupidity.

It is wrong to see that an Oil executive gets paid $32,000 per day or $12.000.000 per year while ordinary people put their lives in such disposition. The Conservatives are going to pay huge come election time, for every $.010 cent increase at the pump they realize $100.000.000 in profits in a course of a year they have realized a whapping $500.000.000 ˝ a Billion dollars stolen from the pockets of ordinary Canadians, by the snow white CON scum bags.
Canada has oil of its own and the Cons are nothing but a bunch of oppotrunists pigs they can go and F them selfs every day of the week untill election time.

Much like other oil producing countries their government is subsidizing the gas while people are not faced with having to park their cars. It is so f greedy to see a government who’s oil reserves are very rich and gauge its people while they are collecting such huge amounts of hard earned cash and the f losers are crying the blues we are facing an economic slow down. The Cons are out to harm this country.

Plus these f losers have been in power for the past 2 ˝ years, they have spend close to $12Billion in order to make Canadians like them to no avail. Their popularity has stayed at 34% and they hope that the Liberals will all die so they can show a land slide victory come election time.

Canada is self-sufficient in oil but for what we sell to the states. Roll the damn prices back and don't let them rise again until they can show they need it. It doesn't cost anymore to get the oil out of the ground now than it did ten years ago so the price increases have all been phoney gouging and usury. What do we do when the price per gallon hits ten dollars. It would be better to do something drastic now

Should that happen we will see oil tankers being escorted by the army through the cities, gas stations may have guards with guns in order to protect its employees, it will become a total f mess.

Specifics...what do you want them to do...specifically? Gas taxes in Canada are a hell of a lot less than in Europe..... The oil in the ground does NOT belong to the Feds...it belongs to the Province that it is being extracted from....so what EXACTLEY do you want the Feds to do!

The truth here is, these costs for fuel to go to work and back at these out rages prices per litter it is only a matter of time before an economic collapse will take place. Europe can pay stupid prices this is Canada and we have billions of litters of oil in our reserves. The Cons are on the avenue of opportunity which will come back to hunt them.

As far as I know, the oil coming out of the ground here in ALberta is getting world price.

but again..... the feds basically have nothing to do with the oil....it's provincial...and trying to bring in something like the NEP again will guarantee to tear this country apart.

First of all gerruh, I am not spouting off meaningless rhetoric. Every time the gas goes up by $.010 cents the feds realize a whapping $100.000.000. You are telling me that the Government doesn’t have anything to do with high fuel gas prices???? Here in Canada we have a 2 ˝ year old no balls federal Government, who has spent a surplus on $12B in an effort to entice Canadians and you know what my dear friend? The losers snow whites in Ottawa have moved down on the popularity pole as appose to the Liberals. 34% C 31% L what is that tell you?
Speak facts here not bull s!sht. Alberta may own the oil but under the Canadian constitution all resources in any part of Canada belong to the Canadian people.
In a crisis such as the one we see today were OPEC and the Oil cartel are f ckig the general papules here in Canada Alberta can not and should not be allowed to dress them self’s as Arabs and tell Canadians that they simply don’t care.
Should this energy crisis get out of hand you will see a f cking revolt.
The Feds have the power to control what Canadians pay at the pump, but should they step in they will be shutting the money tap and the snow white pigs on the trough wouldn’t like that.

Take a look at this bellow or go to the link and you tell me whether or not the snow white losers are on the path of f cking Canada like their loser Mulroney mentor did put Canada $40B in red ink and shortly after Canadians reduced the Tories to ruble. Who is spouting off meaningless rhetoric gerruh?????????

"The feds want it parlayed in such a way as to make it appear that they haven't blundered," said the provincial source.
Further incentives, such as one-time cash programs, are also on the table, but the province remains focused on the central issue of not being penalized for its natural gas revenues, said the provincial source. Under a complicated equalization formula, as revenues in have-not provinces rise, their equalization payments are reduced.
Casey, who has been ejected from the Conservative caucus, accused the government of breaking its promise not to touch provincial offshore resource revenue. He was ejected even though Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay said the Tories would not punish any MP who voted with their conscience.
Opposition parties have had a field day with Casey's defiance and resulting expulsion. The Liberals introduced a motion in the House of Commons on Thursday demanding Prime Minister Stephen Harper live up to election campaign promises on the accords and equalization payments.
Liberal Leader Stephane Dion said the Tories broke their promise to Atlantic Canadians by imposing a cap on resource revenues.
"The prime minister himself stated in this House on October 26, 2004, that when it comes to the Atlantic accords, there is 'a moral obligation to keep these promises: no caps, no clawbacks, no limitations, no conditions, no big exceptions in the fine print,"' Dion said.
"Yet, Budget 2007 had just that. A cap. Fine print. Limitations. Conditions. A broken promise to Atlantic Canadians."
Saskatchewan is also upset that the Conservatives failed to live up to a commitment over its resource revenues.
During the last election, the Conservative platform stated that non-renewable resource revenues would be excluded from the federal-provincial equalization formula. However, the spring budget didn't include such a commitment.
"Those who voted for the Conservatives in Saskatchewan and Atlantic Canada put their trust in the commitments made by Mr. Harper," Dion said.
"That trust was broken."

I agree with this 100%. Somebody needs to drive the price back down.

This isn't a conservative vs. liberal problem and it shouldn't be. I am right of center and I find no joy paying $40+ to fill my tank each week and reading news that it could go even higher. Do you think people who tend to be conservative and vote that way like the idea of getting screwed by a crowd that posts 40 billion in profits and have 7 figure salaries?

I think he is just venting. I don't have the answers either but I am sure that you can't be happy paying a good chunk of your salary filling your car, or two (cars) if you are married.
