No responsible government will sit by when faced with the kind of brazen violent acts seen in Tibet recently, President Hu Jintao said yesterday.

He made the remarks during a telephone conversation with his US counterpart George W. Bush. They also talked about the Taiwan question, according to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry.
On the Lhasa riots, Hu said the rioters were by no means "peaceful demonstrators" and their activities were not "non-violent" as claimed by the Dalai Lama clique.
Hu said the Chinese government's policy toward the Dalai Lama is clear and consistent, and the Chinese government has all along kept in touch with his side with great patience.
He further reiterated the government's stance toward the Dalai Lama.
He said the government is willing to continue contact and consultation with the Dalai Lama, as long as he truly abandons advocating "Tibet independence", stops activities aimed at splitting the motherland and accepts that Tibet and Taiwan are inalienable parts of China.
He especially mentioned activities to fan and mastermind violent crimes in Tibet as well as in some other regions and to sabotage the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games.
On Taiwan, Hu voiced appreciation at the US stance, repeated many times by Bush and his administration, that the US adheres to the one-China policy, abides by the three Sino-US joint communiques, opposes "Taiwan independence" and a referendum on Taiwan's UN membership, and is against Taiwan's bid to join the UN and other international organizations, which only sovereign countries can join.
Hu expressed hope that the China and the US will continue to work jointly to secure peace and stability across the Straits.

Foreigners witness the riots in Lhasa Comments on this article total 1
thanks 2008-03-27 09:51 From this Tibetan vicious rioting and mobbing and killing we can see clearly that the attitude of the western countries to the Tibetan gangsters, it is far from the other terrorist, bin laden. The United States, Britain, Germany... have treated the Dalai Lama as their "friends" and their Jesus Christ, although Dalai and his clique having killed so many innocent people, burned shops, houses, schools, looted banks and businesses, but they till today turn their blind eye on the rioting and killing. It is apparent that these western countries have taken double standards, till today this moment usa, britain, germany, Australia, Canada, Japan,... have never criticised what those Tibetan rioters & terrorists have done killing, arsoning, looting ... which just indicates in the eyes of these western governments, the Dalai lama and his rioters are truly their partners, partners of killing, partners to tarnish the image of China, partners to hurt the coming Beijing Olympic Games.

But, with the rapid economic growth of China, more people have started to think on their own, because a greater and powerful China, with 1.3 billion hard-working and brave people, is the hope for them.

China, go, go, go! You are unstopable.

You are out of your freaking mind.

China is no longer a Communist nation.....it is a fascist nation........it is the greatest danger to world peace and liberty there is.

China needs to be isolated economically, and contained militarily.

We should start by recognizing Taiwan, and offering a mutual defense treaty..........

China's leaders are scum. The Communist Party has murdered at least 40 million people in China....

The Olympics are now a joke, I have NO idea where the IOC put their heads when they awarded these scumballs the Games....the Chinese can NOT control everything, and there will be large protests of Foreigners in the nation......will these pigs dare shoot them?

China opposes Canada's anti-dumping duties on casing pipes

(Xinhua)
Updated: 2008-03-05 17:44

China strongly opposed Canada's decision to levy anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on seamless carbon or alloy steel oil and well casing pipes from China, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Wednesday.
Seamless casing pipes are widely used in oil exploration and gas wells.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) on August 13, 2007 initiated a probe into imports of Chinese steel seamless casing pipes and concluded last month that Chinese producers were subsidized by the government and deemed the Chinese industry as non-market-oriented.
The government and the country's industry strongly opposed this ruling, the MOC spokesman said in a statement.
The Chinese government and enterprises gave sufficient support to the Canadian investigation. The evidence provided by the Chinese side proved that the casing pipe industry is a highly competitive one and the government did not intervene in the enterprises' daily operation and price setting decisions, said the spokesman.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal is yet to make a final decision on whether to impose anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on Chinese manufacturers.
"We hope that the Canadian International Trade Tribunal can make a fair ruling, and we would keep a close eye on the progress and take measures to protect the legitimate rights of Chinese enterprises," said the statement

China, do you actually believe the crap you are posting? Seeing that you have lived in countries where the press has freedom, I find it hard to believe that you can believe this propaganda.
