Diplomatic Solution To The Iraqi War?

To consider that the solution in Iraq and the Middle East in general is substantially "diplomatic", as many liberals argue, when Syria, Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah will be major players in these negotiations, is utterly doltish and lacks political and historical nous. The Americans coming from a weak political and military position in Iraq to the negotiating table, will suffer what Karl Marx stated in his book The Eighteenth of Brumaire, that whomever one seeks to negotiate with, one acknowledges as master of the situation. A diplomatic and political solution could only be feasible if America came to the negotiating table from a strong military position.
