Brit soldier dies in bomb blast in Afghanistan

By SUN REPORTER
September 04, 2006

A BRITISH soldier was killed and another seriously injured in a suspected suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan this morning, the Ministry of Defence has announced.

The blast happened when a four-wheel drive vehicle was driven at the convoy in the capital, Kabul, at around 10.30am local time.

The incident comes days after the death of 14 British troops when an RAF Nimrod plane crashed near Kandahar on Saturday.

In a statement released in London, the MoD said: “We can confirm that a UK military convoy has been attacked by a suspected suicide bomber in Kabul at approximately 10.30 local time this morning.

“Sadly, one UK soldier has been killed and another very seriously injured as a result of this attack.

“The injured soldier has been evacuated to a military medical facility for treatment.

“No further details of the incident will be released until next of kin have been informed.”

There will be more deaths of soldiers fighting the terrorist insurgents in Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world against Al Qaeda, Hamas, Tamil Tigers, Hezbollah, Iran and Syria.

This is the price one HAS to PAY for Peace and Security.

We have over 115,000 Canadian men and women buried in military cemetaries around the world. Thank God for these brave soldiers.

Without them sacrificing their lives we would be wearing a Swastika tatoo on our ass or forehead. There would not a Maple Leaf Flag flying.
