Its rather difficult getting the straight goods on just how much autonomy, if any, the Gaza Strip has been granted since the '05 "disengagement". This certainly answers that question...

Israel orders Gaza-Egypt border closed

Israel ordered the Gaza-Egypt border crossing closed Thursday afternoon, just hours after it was partially opened for the first time in weeks, EU and Palestinian officials said.
...

The PNA has no say in the control of its own nominal border. It really IS nothing but a big prison. :(

I think I'd be pissed too.

Gaza is a nightmare, I'm sure. However it could be made alot better if the residents worked on making it better. The violence commited by the palestinians does not help their situation regardless of how justified it may be. If the militants gave up violence and instead tried to build a home there I believe they could have a decent home there and relations with Egypt and Israel.

The problem with the Egypt Gaza border was that a lot of people and weapons were being brought across it.
