Those aren't major stories anymore because the governments have seen what happens when they are. The result is that journalists are discouraged from reporting by their corporate masters even while the military does its best to limit access.
It is horrible the Iraq coverage has gone down to almost ziltch. Makes me wonder why or if someone had something to do with it, as the lack of negative news from there is what the USG wants, i think. Get the publics mind off all the bad from over there.
