Dear President Bush,

Please admit that our actions in Iraq have not been handled properly , mistakes have been made and we are in a quagmire. This war has not deterred terrorism but has caused and continues to cause increased terror in Iraq and surrounding countries.

Why do you not listen to the polls when the polls reflect the will of the people whom you serve. Why do you and your administration hold liberals to ridicule when they represent nearly half of the citizens of our country? Listen to us ! Tens of thousand of innocent men , woman , children and babies have died , and continue to die in Iraq , not including our 1,700 plus troops who have lost their lives to date. For what , Mr. President ? Do you believe that the Iraqi peoples are better off being killed in this war than they were when they were killed by Saddam Hussein ? Are they less dead ? When Saddam Hussein was in power those who opposed him were killed , now the innocent have joined them in death. It is time to own up to your mistakes and find a way to bring our troops home before more die in vain , and terrorism spreads it's ugly wings any further than it is right now.

You love to say that this war is not being fought on our soil , but Mr. President , this is our war and it was not with Iraq. Do you believe the peoples of Iraq are of a lesser God ? They did not and do not deserve to die on their soil any more than we did on ours. You hold hands with Saudi Arabia where the perpetrators of the terror attacks against our country were born and are financed to this day. We need to withdraw from Iraq , give them restitution and let them rebuild and renew their country according to their culture{s} and beliefs. Only then will they be truly free.

Thank you , (name withheld for privacy reasons--but a friend in NY wrote this)

what would "we" all like to say to the US president??? Let's say it here..

I'd like to ask for his resignation, and to realize that his actions not only affect the country that he runs, but have a global impact that many do not appreciate

indeed.

Mr. President....

Don't think many of us would even bother with you , IF you were not creating havoc on this planet. What you do IN the US is your business, and IF the US population stands by you on your domestic issues......no biggie. But when you behave in the way you do,on this planet....anger people to the point of fostering terrorism......then it becomes everyone's concern. It might be time for you to realize that many of us just want the nations to get along in the most constructive way. It also might be time for you to realize that terrorism and war (invasions) are two different issues and your playing them as part /parcel of one issue is have negative consequences. Some of us are obsessessed with getting back to some semblance of peace and cooperation on this planet. It might be wise for you to change your focus into bringing stability ,maintaining stability on this planet as opposed to creating havoc.

For the record: Sir. You have at least one passionate admirer and he is Jay. He will follow you to the depths of destruction. I take full responsibility for "leaking" his name.

stay true to your word and fire the "architect".

Dear Sir: (ps). Try to change your mindset from "pre-emptive" to "preventive". ......when it comes to WAR. this would go a long way to stabilize things. (and might even increase the respect for you )
