It's not good news, but at least it is out there before they crawl behind closed doors to count their money and giggle maniacally.
The major stumbling block, as always, is the US. Everybody is afraid to go to them and say, "Look Georgie, either you play responsibly or we'll play hardball." That's the thing, we need to force the US into taking responsibility for its actions.
Canada should be taking the lead on this. We are in the best position to lay down the law with the US, especially when it comes to energy issues.
