You should pay attention, Warhawk. There is no democracy in Iraq. Their government, pre-approved by Bush before they could run, has not made a decision since the election.

In the meantime the US has privatised iraqi oil in a way that is outright theft, enacted legislation that forces Iraqi farmers to buy their seeds from US corporations, brought in foreign workers while unemployment in Iraq is 70%, and started a civil war that they have no idea how to deal with.

Biased media is just a cop-out to not wanting to read any contradiction to what you're being fed. If left wing biased media can't be trusted, what makes the right wing any better? If it's all crap, and only the truth is out there than I suggest you go outside and find it.

I'd be a little more demanding of my information source than that Chickenhawk...wikipedia is an open source online encyclopedia. The articles are submitted by web posters, not unlike this forum, and sometimes are not screened very well by the administration. There have been more than a few instances where the information obtained from wikipedia has been obviously skewed or outright false.

Having said that, wikipedia is a fine source of information though if it can be corroborated with other sources...and the reliability of information is improving with time...

I gave wikipedia merely as an example.

The differance between wikipedia and a forum is that everyone can contribute and edit articles. I find that it is usualy the minor articles that display any POV (which is fairly rare from what I have seen). But if a major article about gun control, or abortion for instance displays a POV it is quickly edited to be more objective.
