I thought that was old news?


Saddam could have easily saved himself and his country much embarrassment, had he done the right thing.

Let's see...he'd disposed of his biological and chemical weapons, he'd stopped trying to develop nukes. He was allowing inspectors in. He was no more despotic than when the US were his best friends and no worse than many the US still consider friends.

About all he could have done is give the US the keys to the oil fields. He didn't want to do that.

He could have pulled out of Kuwait.

If he had not of invaded another country, we wouldn't be in this mess. If he had pulled out of Kuwait we wouldn't be in this mess. Bush senior gave him lots of time to do the right thing. Saddam refused.

Kuwait asked for USA help to get rid of him. (many around here probably just consider it imperialsm)

1 fly spoils the whole barrel of oil.

Saddam is the maker of his own fate. I don't feel sorry for the rat.

Please remember this conflict is older than current news.
