A senior US official, who also asked not to be named, said Washington had already made clear to the Russians its disapproval of missile sales to Syria.

"It's a policy that they (the Russians) know about," the official said. "They are quite clear on both the policy and the law that we have."

The official said the Foreign Authorization Act allows action against "people who sell lethal equipment to state sponsors of terrorism, to prevent them from various interaction with the United States."

Think Russia cares about what laws America has? Is America going to attack everyone who doesn't do what they want?

US warns Russia on selling missiles to Syria

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The United States warned Russia against selling missiles to Syria amid reports that Moscow was ready to provide Damascus with a sophisticated weapon that could hit any target in Israel.

But Russia denied it had any such plans.

However, Ivanov categorically denied any plans for such a sale.
"We have no talks with Syria about such missiles," he told reporters here. "There are no negotiations under way with Syria."
Meanwhile, Boucher declined to elaborate what action the United States would envision against Moscow if the deal went through.

Sounds like more Bush fear mongering.

Does "W" lay in bed at night dreaming up these wild stories. Sounds like he wants to rule the world. He would be wise to give it up.

What would "W" do if China, Russia,NK just said "F" you and all went at America at once? I know its unlike but it would not surprise me either at the rate "W" seems to piss off the world community. When will America learn to stop meddling in things that do not concern them?

Its not that the US government is a puppet for Israel, its that the AIPAC(Arab-Israeli Political Action Committee) has been the main influence in US Middle East Policy for years, and its stature just seems to keep growing. Much like the Cuban exiles in Florida who insist on harsh measures, these fringe groups have hijacked US Foriegn Policy in these respective areas. Do you think the USA would have stood by while thousands were massacred in Sudan if there was a powerful Sudanese-American PAC in the USA? Doubtful

Your point is very right. They have a lot of influence on the American politics. I had a whole thread devoted to this issue.
