The Pub Landlord answers questions from the Telegraph and from Twitter about his plan to stand against Nigel Farage in the 2015 general election

Farage says the smoking ban is silly and immoral. Where do you, as a pub landlord, stand on the issue (given that pubs are less fun now that you can't smoke)?

"It’s not every day that silly things are also immoral. Are clowns silly? Yes. Are they immoral? No. Sorry if it looks like I’m trying to answer a different question, but I’ve been studying Ed Miliband videos. I would make smoking in pubs compulsory."

Since the majority of people do not smoke it would seem to me that the idiot is trying hard to reduce his perspective cliental.

First of all I don't smoke but let us get some facts straightened out
The majority of people don't smoke true. What is the percentage of
people who go to bars, pubs, night clubs and bingo halls who smoke?
That should be the question. If they are the majority different matter.
Secondly it is an indication bar patronage is down in some areas. Yup
people are going to parties where they can smoke and do whatever
there is no supervision from a safety aspect and many are going on to
the roads drunk. Here in my areas impaired drivers apparently showed
an increase lately. Private parties account for an increasing volume of
consumed booze Has this not been noticed? Smoking can be done
safely in bars and other places of entertainment its the do gooder lobby
at work. they are the ones who recite the mantra "Carbon Footprint"
before every sentence as well. Personally I can't wait for the PC
backlash when people make them the poster boy for the worlds problems
and that is coming soon
