If I were eighteen, I would not be posting on CC.
The human animal is one who knows it is mortal. We try to delay that end or invent myths to say this life is just a beginning. The honest ones, all posting here, know that this life is all we are given. We must strive to leave this planet better for our being here - both as a moral justification for our existence and to ensure that our descendants are free to dream.

Yes, when we were 18 we idealists and we were hornier than ten peckered toads, which kinda clouded our judgment. Now that we are older and hopefully wiser, we see reality does not lend itself to idealism so well. Also, I have found that, youth is wasted on the young, (ie: all them beautify young bodies wasted on dumb young men who don't have a clue - life is cruel.)
