Never mind the economy, they are coming. Our economy will have to improve or they will steal our water.

Is a giant, cloaked spaceship orbiting around Mercury?
That's been the speculation from some corners aftera camera onboard NASA's STEREO spacecraft caught -- shooting out from the sun and hitting Mercury.
Theorists have seized on the images captured from the "coronal mass ejection" (CME) last week as suggestive of alien life hanging out in our own cosmic backyard. Specifically, the solar flare washing over Mercury appears to hit another object of comparable size. "It's cylindrical on either side and has a shape in the middle. It definitely looks like a ship to me, and very obviously, it's cloaked," -- on the footage, which has generated hundreds of thousands of views this week. Now, how this user was able to determine that the object was "obviously" a cloaked spaceship with no other natural explanation remains as much a mystery as the object itself.

Aliens arent coming... When was the last time you held a conversation with a duck? Even if this kid with a laptop figured it out that it was in fact an alien ship, im sure the aliens are above us anyways...

No body is stealing our water either, there are much more easier avenues in the solar system let alone the galaxy to access water from.....

I have no idea what aliens have to do with talking ducks, but side stepping that one, I think people just tend to see what they want to see.

When they land on the White House or Parliaments lawn, then I'll believe in aliens.

I was wondering why I had dug out of my archives, the original Duke Nukem game. I need to hone up my skills for getting all medieval on those alien bastards.

Oooooh, now that sounds prophetic.

I'm a believer now.

think about the potential technological differences between humans and ducks and humans and aliens.... Were above animals on this planet the same that aliens would be above us in the galaxy.

There are also gigantic alien spacecraft orbiting near Saturn. Some of these craft are four times bigger than Earth.

Nothing at all. There are a few of these objects floating around out there that either cannot be explained or they are not worth the effort.

I don't see ducks carrying weapons, but a primitive weapon can still kill, and we do have some fairly sophisticated stuff, just that we cannot go into deep space yet. But were not to far away from doing it. These objects could be nothing to someone watching us.

As far as I know, "cloaking" only exists in Star Trek movies and the like. If we had "cloaking" we wouldn't need radar detectors.

the americans allegedly experimented with cloaking technology using the uss eldridge.

Shouldn't we put on some sort of (fake) show that points to us being able to get along with one another on an international level?

How come for others it means fear.

Why for some does it mean hate?

How do we know when the other feels love.

We are building an interstellar transport system to take only the best kids plus the best nannys and best teachers to the other place.

You let those MBA number ****ers **** you which I told you in '83

A solar flare-up passed over it and revealed it. But that does not explain the ship by Saturn.

Ah, the infamous Philadelphia Experiment. A hoax. The U.S. Navy did experiment with degaussing technology, to see if a ship's metal hull could be shielded from detection by magnetic mines, that's the most likely source of that story. As for the giant spaceships heading our way, they're almost certainly just image defects. --

Some time ago I was building a three and a half inch refractor telescope for viewing, and to take pictures of, the planets. One of the telescope stores in Vancouver were selling the objective doublets for around a hundred dollars. I had a piece of Aluminium pipe that
would take the objective cell and a focuser I had lying around. To make a long story shorter there was a tiny flaw in one of the elements of the doublet that gave me headaches for quite a while. The flaw was small enough so I couldn't see it by just looking at the lense but
this was an f-14 telescope that was capable of fairly healthy magnification that brought out the error. One day I was looking at some sun spots and I found a tiny sun spot that moved with the telescope.

Digital photography give some weird effects sometimes...

Two photos taken seconds apart with just a change in the zoom.....

Then at the same geogaphic location ....a few days later with a digital video cam...

If you don't happen to like the music fast forward to 1:18 to 1:38 something I could see in the lcd screen but not between me and the stage....there was a second one right after the first that showed up on the lcd screen but not in the finished product...there has to be a good scientific explanation....?????????

Who in their right mind would fast forward through such virtuoso bluegrass pickin' and fiddlin' as that? I would guess the oddities are just tiny fluffy seeds of some sort drifting by very close to the lens. Might not be seeds, might be a fragment of feather, a dust mote, a tiny insect, hard to say when they're so far from the camera's focal point, might even be something inside the camera drifting across the sensor. There are all kinds of possibilities that don't involve anything weird.

I think it's more fun to know what's really going on.

I understand that there are lots of things that can cause that "phenomenon"....
The reason I say it's weird, is because in all my years of filming, it has happened to me with different digital cameras ...the first time with a Sony Mavica with floppy disks in '98, then with two other digital cameras over the years...but...always in the same geographic location..River Valley Ontario.

I (half) jokinly tell people that it's because the place is an old Indian burial ground

I saw a documentary a while back, sort of a "skeptics look at supernatural phenomenon" and they did a piece on these "dancing lights", turns out it was dust particles. Can't remember the exact explanation, something about the way the light hits it and the aperture of the lens, makes it enlarged in the photo. Don't know if this is the same thing, but it looks kind of similar. Can't remember the name of the documentary though.

Now that's interesting in itself, maybe there are a lot of plants in the area that release seeds or pollen or something at that time of year. Is it raining lightly in the first snapshot? I've seen similar effects from a flash in light rain that disappear when I zoom in on the scene.
