We have all heard that crime doesn't pay, but tell that to all the
lawyers, police, judges, and guards.
It seems all we do is talk tough about crime, but never really get
tough on it.
But crime, and justice is big business and much more then just
criminals profit from it.
I think a reason the system is so lenient, and baby the convicted is
because so many law abiding citizens are dependent on crime, in
reality it is their bread and butter.
What would happen if we finally got tough instead of just talking.
But that is a question we must try so to get the answer, because the
process now is not working.
I know longer what the government to take away my hard earned money
to babysit murders and rapists.
We need to set examples create unforgettable deterrents, so that every
though of mischief is quickly replaced with the thought of the punishment.
An eye for an eye should be the standard, so that in their death they
teach another it best think twice. Forget the politicians claiming it
to be to inhumane, yet never bat an eye about dropping bombs on
people. All the money wasted in the justice system is staggering, that money
could be put to much better use, it would fix so many ills in the country.
Infastructure, health care, and education would be caught right up on.
But instead we build more prisons , hire more police it is a never ending process with a
pricetag ever increasing. . It is time to put away the cribs and
timeouts, and bring out the whips and noose.

The quicker a criminal gets through the system and back on the street, the quicker
he/she can commit another crime and repeat their trip through the system, keeping
the cycle going and going and going and going....

Disgraced

In such foolishness does man engage,
taking joy in wickedness which does enrage.
Harming one another with little thought,
against basic rules that were taught.
Murder and rape, rampant are they,
even their own children, parents slay.
In many sick pleasures taking delight,
falsly thinking it's the human right.
Deciding it's ok for man with man,
which was forbidden since time began.
Or the woman, who beds more than one,
and knows not, who fathered her son.
Many more evils the list goes on,
the days of innocence are long gone.
How the mirror, one can face,
having to look at such disgrace.
Given so much and this you do,
but now I assure, the days are few.

It would be nice to live in a world ruled by common sense......but alas.

like somebody once said "the least common thing, is common sense."

Wicked days do we now behold,
for the heart of man has grown cold.
With a corrupted mind, and fithy lust,
so very selfish and lacking trust.
Indulging in every desire.
making the tongue a constant liar,
Creating fear and making weak,
and hateful words only speak.
Helping another is no concern,
each his own, die or learn.
Determined to fulfill the desired plan,
even upon the backs of fellow man.
In the eye, does greed abound,
and enough to satisfy, cannot be found.
For something always is there to crave,
so still wanting more shall enter the grave.
What we've become ashamed am I,
and for hope, can I only sigh.

Oh right, lets go back to the Old Testament, rules invented by an ignorant and largely illiterate society of desert nomads thousands of years ago, ignore everything we've learned since, that'll fix it all up.

why change what works, they take prayer out of school which I did first thing in the morning right before Oh Canada, and now kids are worse then they ever have been,
the moment we take God out of the picture the view becomes terrible.

Another that thinks that morals are implicit to belief in god...

Prison Incarceration and Religious Preference

These statistics clearly show that prison inmates are predominantly Christian...

well that is a plan of Gods that you should finally ask for help when there is nothing left,
that is the beauty that he is still there after all things done, and a prisoner that realizes that the only thing left to try is the Lord ,realizes it was the best choice all along.

it has to be more than coincidence that thew lack of God leads to the lack of morals.
why do so many fight so hard to banish God. I think because gives conviction, and without him people have no excuse not to kill.

He has every right to tell you what to do,
because he is our God and created you.
But before you say that just makes me a slave,
remember that to you and I choice He gave.
And all that He asks is for your own good,
for he loves you, which is why listen you should.
Never will he give an unreasonable demand,
and if it seems that way, even willing is He to give a hand.
For know desire has He to see you fail,
so guidence He offers to help prevail.
And if you follow the perfection of His ways,
shall you have joy through lifes maze.
But downsides there are to doing as we please,
such as worry, hate, war and disease.
But the worst of all is that you will die,
and to another lost soul must he say goodbye.
Which is why care you must for he cares what you do,
and is concerned you'll perish, having not forgiven you.

Sociologists refer to that as religious predation...

Since it's inception, Christianity has preyed upon the weak...

No it doesn't

why do so many fight so hard to banish God.

Because he isn't real...

I think because gives conviction, and without him people have no excuse not to kill.

I don't believe in any gods, and I've never killed anyone...but I bet I could anger a Christian bad enough to take a stab at me...

It takes alot more than just believing there is a God, to be a christian.
Just because I know there is a God is not my ticket to Heaven, and a true christian
knows that. One cannot claim to be a christian when they go to church on Sunday,
yet hit the bar on friday, those people are not christians and they do much more harm than good.

That's a pretty sweeping generalization I think you'd be hard pressed to demonstrate. Lots of people seem able to live moral and upright lives without religious beliefs, and lots of true believers turn out to be pretty nasty people. Steven Weinberg (a Nobel laureate in physics, for those who've never heard of him) once observed that in the normal course of events, good people will do good things and bad people will do bad things, but to get good people to do bad things, that takes religion.

If that's all that's stopping you from murdering I hope you go right on believing, but really, there are much better and simpler reasons than that for not killing people, rooted in our needs as social creatures. Any society that condoned indiscriminate killing of its members wouldn't last long. Religious justifications for ethics and morals are just post hoc rationalizations of existing social conditions.

The godwhacks will only get worse and grow in numbers as the recession deepens and the crisis reaches prophetic proportions they will all see the hand of god wreaking destruction for our sin. This god of theirs will smote perhaps three billion and they will rejoice in the devine work.
It is indeed a time for and of change. It is my hope that if mankind survives the unfolding crisis we will no longer tolerate or perpetuate the old wickedness of religion and contrived gods. No good has ever come of it and none ever will. They will all go in the same hole with the userers the liars the hypocrits and the priests. Then maybe children can live without the bagage of god.
