Ponds are a big fad I guess,. Water's one of the elements. What are backyard pond enthusiasts after with thier labours? Many of the ponds are attractive and afford some sort of peace and tranqillity I suppose. Most that I'v seen are quite sterile and out of place. There seems to be a drive to terra-form on a mini scale, some basic drive to dominate the backyard environment. When you have to plug in your pond though you'll have to admit there's something very unreal but then I suppose reality is not what's wanted but rather an escape or break from reality. Harmless I guess, they could be doing the drug thing.
