We need to start a thread dedicated to mom...not just on mother's days..even if yer mom is dead there is one next door i bet...

Speaking of moms, my 97 year old mother who was just recently in the hospital due to all of the bleeding from the cancerous tumour, in her bladder, which burst, received notice for jury duty a couple of weeks ago.

I hope she defys it. She deserves at least one opportunity for some good ol' civil disobedience. God bless 'er....

My sister let them know that my mother would not be able to serve. It was a ridiculous notice, though. My mother is not able to even feed herself anymore. It just shows how much they pay attention to whom they send the notices. I have even heard cases of dogs receiving notices, although I can't say for sure if that is true or not.

I have four moms. My mother in law, My stepmom, my birth mom and my birth mom's spouse. All quite interesting women.
