Goat placenta is much more common, and doesn't carry with it the stigma of being biohazardous.

Oh, and not to be too contrary, but, it's not a common ingredient, nor is it in many cosmetics.

It's a high end ingredient in aging lotions. Not used in typical cosmetics. It's too pricey, too difficult to process. It's not like you can just mash it up and put it in. lol.
