Legislative Action Required:

House Committee Votes for Protecting Chickens
Instead of Protecting Young Girls

In schools across America, a child can’t go on a
school field trip or even get an aspirin from the
school nurse without her parent’s permission. But she
can be shuttled across state lines to have a major
medical procedure . . . an abortion!

Unfortunately, powerful leaders in today’s
pro-abortion Congress think protecting chickens from
interstate transport is more important than protecting
our young girls.

Take Action Today! Contact your Member of Congress
and urge support for the commonsense Child Interstate
Abortion Notification Act (CIANA)

Help protect young girls!

Re-introduced by Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen
(FL-18) in the 110th Congress, this act would end the
despicable practice of taking children – without their
parent’s knowledge – across state lines to have an
abortion.

Just yesterday, Pro-Life Congressmen Steve King (R-IA)
and Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) tried to attach this
important bill to a measure outlawing the
transportation of animals across state lines for the
purposes of fighting (i.e. cockfighting). His
attempts were summarily denied, along a party-line
vote in the Judiciary Committee.

The majority of the House Judiciary Committee cares
more about protecting chickens than protecting young
girls!! We must tell Members of Congress that this
position is unacceptable.

Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen (FL-18) is gathering
support among her colleagues by asking them to sign on
as co-sponsors to the bill.

We will no doubt face a tough battle to move this
pro-life legislation in the face of pro-abortion House
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, but the more co-sponsors we
have, the more difficult it will be for Pelosi to
ignore.

It is incredibly important to generate early support
for this commonsense measure. Contact your
Representative today and urge them to co-sponsor this
important legislation!

The bottom line is this:

1) Pro-abortion groups do not want you to know
when your daughter is having an abortion.

2) Pro-Abortion legislators think protecting
chickens is more important than protecting your
daughters.

Urge your Representative to join the fight against
this outrageous threat to the welfare of young girls!

Thank you for fighting to protect women, unborn
babies, and young girls.

Sincerely,

Marjorie Dannenfelser

What a load of rubbish. First they're pro-choice not pro-abortion. Second the notion that they care more about chickens than young girls, also rubbish. If you want your bill passed fine, but why attach it to an animal rights bill where the two bills are totally unrelated content matter?
