I once read (a few years ago) that at his (then)current rate of profit, Bill Gates would become the world's first trillionaire (assuming USdollars), in 2017.
It might well happen, but I won't be helping him. I've spent all the money on Microsoft products that I'm going to spend. I will soon be converting both my computers plus the back-up I'm putting together over to Linix. I made that decision a couple months back when both My wife and I had to buy windows XP. Who needs that kind of gouging.

Gates net worth was $50 billion, most of which was in Microsoft stock, Microsoft's stock would have to double every year for 11 years. That's not going to happen.
But since he's given much if not most of it away to his foundation, its irrelevant anyways.
