Now I am a humanitarian, and when I was a younger teenager when I thought of joining the military I was like. Cool go overseas and shoot up a few places and have some fun like you see in video games. Or in the movies, be like a WWII guy. Now as a little older, I know now that it would be difficult for me to shoot someone, or kill someone, and that is one of the reasons why I support U.N missions, and don't like the Afghan mission as much because I do believe we are in there for another objective and too many civilians are getting hurt or killed.

But if I am asked to go over as a medic, I will go. I will go to defend my troop mates and I would be there primarily to assist injuried colleges, injured civilians, and allies, and even injured Taliban because it is in Canadian military doctrine to assist the enemy if we find them.
