Rejection

I know everyone has had rejection before. From a boyfriend or a girlfriend. From a job oportunity to other rejection. Now some could be bad, some could be really funny and some could be sad.

Now I got a funny rejection story from a female friend I have known for eight years now.

Several years ago we would do things that would be considered boyfriend/girlfriend, going to movies, resteraunts, and other things like that.

However, when I decided to move away from Oshawa I told her how I really liked about her, tell her how I felt about her.

And she said,

"That's nice but I would like to travel a bit before I settle down."

Rejection big time.

However, I was just talking too her a few days ago but she was telling me about her travels to Brazil and how she met this guy and how he is the one. So I guess I can be happy for the guy in Brazil, however, if I knew that when we were hanging out I wouldn't have bought her so many nice things.

Anyone else have any rejection stories.

I've known J for 10 years now, ever since high school. She has always been a very good friends and we, too, would often do things couples in a relationship do except the smooches. We hang out a lot.

Years went by and she graduated to become a pharmacist and got a good paying job when she returned home. I was glad but I couldn't be there to celebrate with her. I was in Canada then. When I returned to see her, J seemed to be all indifferent towards me but she was okay whenever I was around, but her expectations have blatantly changed.

I was still very much a student with no income, sad & pathetic I know. Went out for lunch and she paid for it (36$)... saying that it will be my treat next. Not a problem. Weeks later, she invited me to a posh restaurant and the bill came up to 125$. She made an excuse saying she's forgotten her purse, therefore, had no money and that she was driving without her driver's license, etc. I offered to pay up front and she in turn, said will pay me back her share.

I must have been an idiot to visit her next week and ask for her portion of money. We've never spoken or seen each other ever since (2 years alraedy)... she said she hates me.

I was like... hello... you're earning like 3,500$ a month whereas I am earning like 0$ a year.
Lost a friend whom I've known for over 9 years... somehow I felt I have been rejected all these while.

Fact of life, guys: you lose them all but the last one.

But when you find that final one and things work out well, none of the others matter much any more. Just don't give up.

Yeah, your right, but it was kind of cool one time when I had three girlfriends at once. I wouldn't tell you how it played out when I went to a dance hall with one and the other two were there. :D

I've had a couple of girls who have simply assummed the position of being my girlfriend.

One I thought I expressed myself clearly enough by staring blankly at her.

Second I though we were just friends, till I found out she had told all her friends I was her boyfriend.

davtel... you silly... don't ask a woman for money... they don't like that.

If you had waited she would have paid you back, eventually, with the leftover dimes and nickels at the bottom of her purse.

But all joking aside, it sounds like you're better off without her. If you were a student and broke, you shouldn't have been at a posh restaurant in the first place. And as your friend, she shouldn't have taken you there. Even the 36$ meal was probably too expensive, especially if you weren't sleeping with her.

When I was a young'n,I was head over heels for this chick.I'd let her copy home-work,buy the booze for drive-in's,spend time listening and listening and listening to her go on about this guy and that guy and how she wasn't pretty and I even lent her alot of money that left me broke for about 2mnths.I'd have done anything for her and then one day I asked for an installment for the money lent, she went berserk and paid me back and after that she say's,basically to go jump in a lake.
I now dislike people who use others for whatever it is they need and when that person's useful quality is used up,they find some petty excuse to walk away.LOSERS too all those people and SHAME.
Just thought I'd add a little someth'in

That's sad man.

I wrote that girl though from my first rejection post. And she is coming out to Vancouver so I am going to meet with her and we will talk about old times.

So, you never know.
