What 3 songs would you like played at your funeral?I know this has the potential to turn into a joke but thats ok because I will give 3 serious and 3 humorous.

Serious

Keep Me in Your Heart-Warren Zevon ...off his last album just nice

Always Look On the Bright Side Of Life-Monty Python ( this IS serious .be happy not sad)

Bohemian Rhapsody-Queen ..always identified with the ''poor boy''

Humor:
Haha You're Dead - Green Day
Like You Better Dead - In Flames
This Is The End - Behind Crimson Eyes

Amazing Grace (played by a real bagpiper) (I was going to say 'live' bagpiper, but that left me too wide open

Liszt's Consolation 3

Schubert's 'The Wanderer'

I can't think of anything for fun songs, but I want my epitath to read: 'I knew if I hung around long enough something like this was bound to happen.'

Hmmm I don't know it personally for my funeral, but everytime I hear The Rose by Bette Midler it reminds me of the funeral of my grandma (four years ago), and it saddens me ... I do wish it to be three sad songs, don't know why, I guess I want a "traditional" funeral, with people in black, sad music, tears ...

Ricky you surprise me :p I thought for sure you would have picked this song :p

Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la

One banana, two banana
Three banana, four
Four bananas make a bunch
And so do many more
Over hill and highway
The banana buggies go
Comin' on to bring you
The Banana Splits Show

Makin' up a mess of fun
Makin' up a mess of fun
Lots of fun for everyone

Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la

Four banana, three banana
Two banana, one
All bananas playing in the bright warm sun
Flippin' like a pancake, poppin' like a cork
Fleagle, Bingo, Drooper an' Snork

Makin' up a mess of fun
Makin' up a mess of fun
Lots of fun for everyone

Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la

Two banana, four banana
One banana, three
Swingin' like a bunch of monkeys
Hangin' from a tree
Hey there everybody
Won't you come along and see
How much like banana splits
Everyone can be

Makin' up a mess of fun
Makin' up a mess of fun
Lots of fun for everyone

Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la
Tra-la-la, la-la-la-la

sorry, me english is verie bad! go change now! tank jou! no, I actually appreciate it when you point me at such things, really, so I can edit it now, without all those people getting an opportunity to laugh at me.

Sorry Rick, I sure didn't intend anything mean about your English. Your English is so damn good it puts most of us native speakers to shame. I just saw the comment, it made me chuckle (not laughing at you, laughing at a typo), and to be honest, I didn't even think about the fact that English isn't your first language. Honest. Again, I am truly sorry.

But Haggis I'm serious, really, no sarcastic remarks, no underlying annoyance :) ! When I was on the other forum, before canadiancontent.com, I asked all the members to correct me on my English if I said anything wrong. So really, you don't have to apologize, or flatter me in some way :) (although, if you really can't resist, you may  )

Well, I do feel better, thank you, but no, I wasn't flattering you, I meant it. Your English really is remarkably good.

As for flattery, I do have some money that my father, the king, left for me. I would sure love a chance to 'flatter' your account with some of it - ALL of it, if you want - if you would only just send me your account particulars.

Oh, easy for one...

Dance me to the End of Love - Leonard Cohen (oddly enough, I want this to be my wedding song if someone ever tricks me into a marriage)

As for the other two... I'm taking the high road

2. Someone brilliant is so inspired by me and my life that they compose something stunning for me.

3. Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye: Leonard Cohen:

I loved you in the morning, our kisses deep and warm,
your hair upon the pillow like a sleepy golden storm,
yes, many loved before us, I know that we are not new,
in city and in forest they smiled like me and you,
but now it's come to distances and both of us must try,
your eyes are soft with sorrow,
Hey, that's no way to say goodbye.

I'm not looking for another as I wander in my time,
walk me to the corner, our steps will always rhyme
you know my love goes with you as your love stays with me,
it's just the way it changes, like the shoreline and the sea,
but let's not talk of love or chains and things we can't untie,
your eyes are soft with sorrow,
Hey, that's no way to say goodbye.

I loved you in the morning, our kisses deep and warm,
your hair upon the pillow like a sleepy golden storm,
yes many loved before us, I know that we are not new,
in city and in forest they smiled like me and you,
but let's not talk of love or chains and things we can't untie,
your eyes are soft with sorrow,
Hey, that's no way to say goodbye.
