Playboy model Katie May died due to a blunt force injury sustained during a neck manipulation by a chiropractor, according to the coroner.
The beauty, a popular Snapchat user, visited a chiropractor to be treated for neck pain in Los Angeles in February and she subsequently suffered a stroke due to a blockage in her carotid artery days later.
She was placed in critical condition but her family decided to take her off life support after three days.
According to the death certificate obtained by TMZ.com, the Los Angeles County coroner stated she sustained a blunt force injury during her neck manipulation session which tore her left vertebral artery and cut off the blood supply to her brain.
Her death was listed as accidental. Her family have been made aware of the findings but wouldn’t comment on whether they would pursue legal action.
