All-male 'H00Ters' restaurant 'Tallywackers' to open in Dallas
DALLAS, Texas (PIX11) – An all-male “Hooters”-style restaurant cheekily called Tallywackers will be opening in Dallas this month.
On the Kidd Kraddick show, owner Rodney Duke said he had the idea to open Tallywackers for a decade. The restaurant will finally open on Lemmon Avenue in the traditional “gayborhood” area of Dallas.
“It’s funny that everyone has asked themselves the same question over time when visiting these venues more related with female eye candy: Why isn’t there a male equivalent?”

Just as the “Hooters” name is a play on a euphemism for women’s breasts, “Tallywackers” is a not-so-subtle nod to men’s genitals. The establishment will offer “live entertainment” in their bar and restaurant. Guests will be able to choose their scantily clad waiter and be served an array of “comfort foods.”
Though the outfit is still being designed, Duke said the wait staff would likely wear a tight red shirt and boxer briefs.
Duke worked hard to have a range of beautiful staff. “Everyone has a different type,” he said. “We want to have eye candy for everyone.” At a five-hour cattle call, he saw candidates that were summoned by Craigslist and comics including Jimmy Fallon.
Don’t expect a striptease though. Health officials insist shirts stay on because “food service and bare chests don’t mix.” Duke added: “We’re going to be a respectable restaurant … there’s not going to be any groping going on.”
The restaurant hasn’t even opened yet, but has already amassed 19,000 fans on Facebook. Tallywacker management told KHOU they’re headed for Houston to set up shop next.
