That crap again?

I'm glad time stands still in Saskatchewan.

This just in... Austria-Hungary lost WW1 because its ally Germany introduced DST during that wonderful war.

Wife says her chickens don't pay any attention to clock changes. Perhaps the birds are a bit brighter than the critters who keep the foolish habit going?

Do chickens have to get up earlier to stoke the steam tractor?

Me and the chickens always get up at sun up and start foraging arround the yard for something to eat. You can't really save daylight, it's a stupid rip off.

I especially like the little white ones with the bood red heads. I don't have claws so I have to trail behind the chickens and rush in when they uncover them. Then I have coffee and some smoke down at the watering hole. I find the healthy outdoor living is good for my complexion.

Nope, Uncle John's job!

Back to whining...
If, instead of going on DST, the government decreed that, from March through October, we'd keep the same time but everyone would have to get up an hour earlier in the morning to go to work, there'd be a goddamn riot. DST is too clever by half!

I love daylight savings time, longer daylight evenings, does it for me.

Those mid summer evenings, daylight till 10 p.m. for awhile, love it.

I hate it when its over, dark at 5 p.m., can' hang out in the garden, or hang out with the dogs
in the yard, thank you for hockey on the tube in the winter, boring evenings otherwise, sure found that out during the lockout. I thought I didn't care that
there was no hockey, but most of the tv schedule is crap.

If you don't work, DST is an artifice.

Wife works. She works according to the natural schedules of her chickens and fruit trees. DST is an artifice to her, too.

Just not completely dark. Where you are It's starts to get dark by 3:45 with sunset at 4:20. Face it. That sucks.

Twi: 7:30am
Sunrise: 8:08am
Sunset: 4:20pm
Twi: 4:57pm

I do like daylight time, especially here in BC it gets damn hot in June July and August.
One can thin apples in the morning, take some time off when its really hot and then go
and thin some more in the evening before dark. Then we spray half the bloody night.
I would be happier to get rid of summer but that is not possible either.

lots of different variations , depends if the day is clear or cloudy or really rainy
with very low cloud cover, but none of that is dark, dark is dark, the rest of it, one can do whatever they
want outside while 'seeing' quite clearly, as the day begins to lose light.

when we use to stay in yuma arizona during the months of january and february, we went golfing almost every
day, but had to make sure to be finished by the time the day began to fade, as darkness down there
came very quickly, and almost every day was very clear and sunny.

This neat tool will give you exact times and even length of day in hours.

Canada Locations for Sunrise Sunset Calendar

If we had DST in SK, sunset would be at 10:15PM but the daylight hours remain 16hrs:27mins and real noon at 2PM
