I work with a lot of Aussies-very odd people and of course they would be seeing as how their country was established for and by convicted criminals-there's a coarseness to them that's extremely off putting.

I met an Aussie woman this past summer who had just been to Mexico City-she was still stunned that she had been in a city that had as many inhabitants as her whole country.

Aussies aren't all that odd in my books.

Yes, Australia was PARTIALLY formed by people convicted of crimes. Those crimes included: theft of bread, prostitution, inability to support your children, refusal to support the State Church, and other "offenses" that were either minor or would not even be considered to be crimes in today's society.

Very few "criminals" that had committed serious crimes were exiled to Australia.
