Kissinger's 1974 Plan for
Food Control Genocide

by Joseph Brewda
On Dec. 10, 1974, the U.S. National Security Council under Henry Kissinger completed a classified 200-page study, "National Security Study Memorandum 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests." The study falsely claimed that population growth in the so-called Lesser Developed Countries (LDCs) was a grave threat to U.S. national security. Adopted as official policy in November 1975 by President Gerald Ford, NSSM 200 outlined a covert plan to reduce population growth in those countries through birth control, and also, implicitly, war and famine. Brent Scowcroft, who had by then replaced Kissinger as national security adviser (the same post Scowcroft was to hold in the Bush administration), was put in charge of implementing the plan. CIA Director George Bush was ordered to assist Scowcroft, as were the secretaries of state, treasury, defense, and agriculture.
The bogus arguments that Kissinger advanced were not original. One of his major sources was the Royal Commission on Population, which King George VI had created in 1944 "to consider what measures should be taken in the national interest to influence the future trend of population." The commission found that Britain was gravely threatened by population growth in its colonies, since "a populous country has decided advantages over a sparsely-populated one for industrial production." The combined effects of increasing population and industrialization in its colonies, it warned, "might be decisive in its effects on the prestige and influence of the West," especially effecting "military strength and security."
NSSM 200 similarly concluded that the United States was threatened by population growth in the former colonial sector. It paid special attention to 13 "key countries" in which the United States had a "special political and strategic interest": India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Turkey, Nigeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia. It claimed that population growth in those states was especially worrisome, since it would quickly increase their relative political, economic, and military strength.
For example, Nigeria: "Already the most populous country on the continent, with an estimated 55 million people in 1970, Nigeria's population by the end of this century is projected to number 135 million. This suggests a growing political and strategic role for Nigeria, at least in Africa." Or Brazil: "Brazil clearly dominated the continent demographically." The study warned of a "growing power status for Brazil in Latin America and on the world scene over the next 25 years."
Food as a weapon

There were several measures that Kissinger advocated to deal with this alleged threat, most prominently, birth control and related population-reduction programs. He also warned that "population growth rates are likely to increase appreciably before they begin to decline," even if such measures were adopted.
A second measure was curtailing food supplies to targetted states, in part to force compliance with birth control policies: "There is also some established precedent for taking account of family planning performance in appraisal of assistance requirements by AID [U.S. Agency for International Development] and consultative groups. Since population growth is a major determinant of increases in food demand, allocation of scarce PL 480 resources should take account of what steps a country is taking in population control as well as food production. In these sensitive relations, however, it is important in style as well as substance to avoid the appearance of coercion."
"Mandatory programs may be needed and we should be considering these possibilities now," the document continued, adding, "Would food be considered an instrument of national power? ... Is the U.S. prepared to accept food rationing to help people who can't/won't control their population growth?"
Kissinger also predicted a return of famines that could make exclusive reliance on birth control programs unnecessary. "Rapid population growth and lagging food production in developing countries, together with the sharp deterioration in the global food situation in 1972 and 1973, have raised serious concerns about the ability of the world to feed itself adequately over the next quarter of century and beyond," he reported.
The cause of that coming food deficit was not natural, however, but was a result of western financial policy: "Capital investments for irrigation and infrastucture and the organization requirements for continuous improvements in agricultural yields may be beyond the financial and administrative capacity of many LDCs. For some of the areas under heaviest population pressure, there is little or no prospect for foreign exchange earnings to cover constantly increasingly imports of food."
"It is questionable," Kissinger gloated, "whether aid donor countries will be prepared to provide the sort of massive food aid called for by the import projections on a long-term continuing basis." Consequently, "large-scale famine of a kind not experienced for several decades—a kind the world thought had been permanently banished," was foreseeable—famine, which has indeed come to pass.

Food was the first WMD, civilians, (particularly the weakest) women children and the aged have always been the target of the warrior class. This is not a secret, it has never been a secret, the smartest strategy has always been denial of hearth and home. Dead women and children ensure the permanent defeat of the enemy. War has always been conducted on the civilian populations, starvation is a beautiful weapon, plague is a blessing, genocide is honorable, medals are awarded for murder and destruction. Among the monied classes absolute deciet is the highest attainment.

As we enter the new year of 2008, themes of a "global community" and a "unified global approach" are becoming more prevalent. The United Nations has recently begun an initiative to bring more into agreement with the "global consciousness" with a comic book geared towards children. Marvel Comics has teamed up with the UN to create a comic book that will teach children "...the value of international cooperation." [5] Another example comes from the London based think tank mi2g, which released a statement in late December of 2007 that stated in part,
"One world: The global community of nations is realizing that regardless of the complex global risk we wish to address, we all have to come together. The mantra of a "unified global approach" is becoming essential whether it is countering climate chaos and environmental degradation... advanced technologies -- bio, info, nano, robo & AI -- ... financial systems and systemic risk; or transhumanism and ethics..." [6]
Combating climate change with a "global unified approach" is a concept that Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, is quite familiar with. In an article carried in the Taipei times, Haass writes that sovereignty must become weaker in a globalized world faced with climate change,
"Some governments are prepared to give up elements of sovereignty to address the threat of global climate change..." "Globalization thus implies that sovereignty is not only becoming weaker in reality, but that it needs to become weaker. States would be wise to weaken sovereignty in order to protect themselves..." [7]
Climate change "the issue" of 2008
Writing in the Business Spectator, economist Craig James states that climate change is "...expected to be the big issue for 2008, dominating public consciousness..." [8] 2007 saw large amounts of attention on this issue as well, when U.K. Prime minister Gordon Brown called for a "New World Order" to combat climate change. [9]

Globalization and advances in technology have undoubtedly impacted our lifestyles, world-views, and lives dramatically. A "global outlook" has planted itself in our society, but more so among elites. Zbigniew Brzezinski writes of this global outlook in his 1970 book, Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era,
"A global human consciousness is for the first time beginning to manifest itself... we are witnessing the emergence of transnational elites... composed of international businessmen, scholars, professional men and public officials. The ties of these new elites cut across national boundaries, their perspectives are not confined by national traditions..." [1]
Globalization, immigration and integration of countries into larger entities brings with it social and political consequences. The Ministry of Defense and the Central Intelligence Agency have produced reports forecasting possible outcomes of globalization and integration. The reports carry a familiar tone between them; advancing technology and globalization causing deep divides between elites and the majority of humanity. The CIA report, "Global Trends 2015", outlines possible scenarios for pernicious globalization. The report states,
"Scenario Two: Pernicious Globalization Global elites thrive, but the majority of the world’s population fails to benefit from globalization... migration becomes a major source of interstate tension... Internal conflicts increase, fueled by frustrated expectations, inequities, and heightened communal tensions..." [1]
The Futurist magazine discussed this CIA report in depth in the May-June 2001 edition. Summarizing trends regarding national and international governance, the magazine states,
"Established governments are likely to lose some control over their borders as migrants, technology, disease, weapons, financial transactions, and information of all kinds move about the world. Corporations and nonprofit organizations will exert more influence on state affairs. Winners and losers in globalization will emerge..." [2]

Perhaps one of the most concerning forecasts comes from the U.K. Ministry of Defense in a report released in early 2007. The report, "DCDC Global Strategic Trends Programme 2007-2036", foresees the middle classes facing increased economic hardship. In response,
"The middle classes could become a revolutionary class, taking the role envisaged for the proletariat by Marx. The globalization of labour markets and reducing levels of national welfare provision and employment could reduce peoples’ attachment to particular states. The growing gap between themselves and a small number of highly visible super-rich individuals might fuel disillusion with meritocracy, while the growing urban under-classes are likely to pose an increasing threat to social order and stability, as the burden of acquired debt and the failure of pension provision begins to bite." [5]
The report also states,
"Economic globalization and indiscriminate migration may lead to levels of international integration that effectively bring interstate warfare to an end; however, it will also result in communities of interest at every level of society that transcend national boundaries and could resort to the use of violence." [6]
As economic crises hit home for millions in America and abroad in 2008 and beyond, feelings of anger and resentment are undoubtedly going to spread. Trends expert Gerald Celente predicts that in 2008,
"Failing banks, busted brokerages, toppled corporate giants, bankrupt cities, states in default, foreign creditors cashing out of US securities … whatever the spark, the stage is set for panic in the streets. When the giant firms fall, they'll crush the man on the street." [7]
Will the "revolutionary middle class" that poses a threat to social order - bitten by burdens of debt, globalization, and economic hardship - become a reality?

Anti-globalists labeled as terrorists
Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, and Italian President Giorgio Napolitano have both suggested - both vaguely and unmistakably - that anti-globalists are terrorists. While speaking at a conference hosted by AKbank in Istanbul Turkey on May 31, 2007, just prior to the scheduled Bilderberg meeting, Henry Kissinger gave a speech in which he stated,
"What we in America call terrorists are really groups of people that reject the international system..." [1]
In June of 2007, Italian President Giorgio Napolitano stated during a press conference that it is, "...psychological terrorism to suggest the spectre of a European superstate." [2]
H.G. Wells' words echo eerily across time; "Countless people... will hate the new world order... and will die protesting against it..."

Despite the importance of this mainstream theme, it is recognized here that the cometary signatures in the terrestrial record are generally stronger than the asteroidal signatures in the case of both long term and short term effects i.e. those affecting biological and geological evolution on the one hand and mankind and civilization on the other..[...]
There are fundamental paradoxes to be assimilated as a result of this unexpected situation. Thus the perceived culture of enterprise and enlightenment which underpins the two centuries culminating with the Space Age and which led mankind to spurn comets and fireballs may now be seen as the prelude to a profound paradigm shift: the restoration of an environmental outlook more in keeping with that which preceded American Independence and which paid serious heed to comets and fireballs.
Clube then thanks the USAF for "its generous and timely injection of funds" and we note that the letter was cc'd to, among others, Edward Teller at the Hoover Institute, S. Fred Singer at Fairfax VA, and Jack A. Goldstone, Davis, CA.
The summary of conclusions accompanying this letter is equally interesting, but that will have to wait for tomorrow. If you can't wait, you can read a pdf here: The Hazard to Civilization from Fireballs and Comets.

Asteroids which pass close to the Earth have been fully recognized by mankind for only about 20 years. Previously, the idea that substantial unobserved objects might be close enough to be a potential hazard to the Earth was treated with as much derision as the unobserved aether. Scientists of course are in business to establish broad principles (eg relativity) and the Earth's supposedly uneventful, uniformitarian environment was already very much in place. The result was that scientists who paid more than lip service to objects close enough to encounter the Earth did so in an atmosphere of barely disguised contempt. Even now, it is difficult for laymen to appreciate the enormity of the intellectual blow with which most of the Body Scientific has recently been struck and from which it is now seeking to recover.

...the Christian, Islamic and Judaic cultures have all moved since the European Renaissance to adopt an unreasoning anti-apocalyptic stance, apparently unaware of the burgeoning science of catastrophes. History, it now seems, is repeating itself: it has taken the Space Age to revive the Platonist voice of reason but it emerges this time within a modern anti-fundamentalist, anti-apocalyptic tradition over which governments may, as before, be unable to exercise control. ... Cynics (or modern sophists), in other words, would say that we do not need the celestial threat to disguise Cold War intentions; rather we need the Cold War to disguise celestial intentions! (emphasis in the original)
http://www.sott.net/articles/show/14...lls-and-Comets

Just think about what this might mean, considering when it was written and all that has happened since. One might think the War on Terror was actually a planned cover-up...
With that happy thought, have a look at this: Majesterium and the Tipping Point

The Bilderbergers - Paper Money & Paper Tigers

Darryl Robert Schoon
Jun 17 2008 11:24AM

_www.drschoon.com

The last shall be first and the first shall be last

Jesus of Nazareth

Nobel Laureate Buckminster Fuller’s introduction to his Critical Path is titled, Twilight of the World’s Power Structures. Published in 1981, Fuller’s book predicted the end of the world’s power structures during a process where humanity would undergo a crisis of unprecedented proportions.

In 1991, the Soviet Union and communism collapsed and now with the severe contraction in credit markets, capitalism is in similarly deep trouble; and. Fuller’s 1981 prediction about the demise of the world’s power structures certainly cannot be good news for those who attended the 56th Bilderberg meeting held June 5-8 in Chantilly, VA.

The Bilderberger are believed by many to be the world’s ruling elite, those who determine the world’s direction—at least the western world’s, as attendees are overwhelmingly from Europe and the US (Europe 2:1 US).

In truth, however, the majority of attendees at the Bilderberger meetings are not the ruling elites but their minions—the well paid servants of money and power who toil 24/7 on their behalf, the bankers and corporate CEOs who shepherd the collective wealth of their masters, thereby gaining position and power for themselves in the process.

This fact, however, should not take away from their considerable influence in today’s world. That world, however, is today in a highly precarious state; for, if Fuller’s prediction is true, the Bilderberger’s world is now about to collapse.

MARSHALL THURBER’S CHECKERBOARD GAME

Marshall Thurber who was a close friend of Buckminster Fuller recently unveiled his new Checkerboard Game at the Positive Deviant Network (the PDN (_www.posdev.net). A gamesmeister whose Blocks Game (which literally “melts” the right/left brain into a unified state) is the foundation of his long-running Money & You seminar (now taught internationally including China), Thurber’s new Checkerboard Game reveals the dynamics behind the formation of financial and power elites.

The setting itself was rather extraordinary. The Positive Deviant Network was in Dunkirk NY to view one of four prisons where PDN member Dr. Cherie Clark (who received her PhD based on her study of Buckminster Fuller’s principles of Synergistics) co-heads Shock Incarceration (_http://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles/shockny.pdf), a course based on Buckminster Fuller’s principles, the 12 step addiction program and superlearning techniques (80% of Shock Incarceration graduates starting with an average of 5th grade education receive their GEDs (high-school equivalency) in 6 months with 12 hours of classroom time per week).

Where the average prison program lasts only 2-3 years, Shock Incarceration is now in its 21st year after having successfully graduated 37,000 inmates, significantly lowered New York State’s recidivism rates, saved the state of New York over $1 billion dollars and transformed countless lives in the process (Dr. Clark is also the president of Doing Life International, (_http://www.doinglife.com/company.html).

The connection between The Checkerboard Game and Shock Incarceration was obvious. The creation of financial elites such as the Bilderbergers creates a world where elites continue to coalesce financial and political power at the expense of others. The rich get richer and the poor now go to prison. The Checkerboard Game and Shock Incarceration reflect that simple but increasingly ubiquitous truth.

If you have the chance to play The Checkerboard Game you should do so. And if you’re ever incarcerated by the state of New York and have a chance to take Shock Incarceration (the US is now the world’s #1 jailor so your odds are increasing)the same advice holds. Buckminster Fuller’s influence in both is obvious.

THE BILDERBERGERS & THE PAPER BOYS

A fortune composed of paper is like a house built on sand

At the very same time the Positive Deviant Network was meeting in northern New York in early June, the Bilderbergers were meeting in northern Virginia; and, while the PDN was looking at ways to alleviate the problems of the powerless, the Bilderbergers were looking at ways to extend the power of the already powerful.

In attendance at the Bilderberg meeting were Ben Bernanke, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve System, Henry Paulson, the US Secretary of the Treasury, Timothy Geither, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the European Central Bank, and Robert Zoellick, President of the World Bank.

It is no coincidence that so many high ranking "public servants" were openly attending a private meeting of the western world’s financial elites. Public servants in name only, public bankers are the handmaidens of the private elites, and in so doing serve their own interests as well.

It is also no coincidence that bankers play such a prominent role in the affairs of the Bilderbergers, the western power elite. Prior to the introduction of the bankers’ debt-based money in England in 1694, the east and the west were "separate but equal". The bankers, however, were to significantly change that dynamic.

After central banking was introduced by the Bank of England, the relationship between the east and west shifted dramatically. England in its Faustian pact with the bankers was able to fund its navy and military with debt-based money and in a version of national gang violence, sic imperialism, imposed its will on much of the world.

The 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries reflected this great shift in power. The 21st century, however, will not. By the end of the 19th century, England’s time as the preeminent world power had run its course.

In 1870, England’s balance of trade went negative and its Treasury had increasing difficulty in paying the enormous bills of the British Navy and the bankers took careful note of this turn of events.

So, in 1913, the European bankers extended their operations to the US via the creation of the Federal Reserve System, the US version of the Bank of England’s central bank. The Federal Reserve System, a consortium of private European and American banks, would issue the same debt-based money in America as had the Bank of England in Britain and the bankers would continue their power and influence in America as they had in England and Europe.

Now, however, in the 21st century, America’s run at the table of fortune is coming to an end as did England’s one century before. In 1970, America’s balance of trade went negative (as did England’s in the 1870s) and again like England, its military budget would consume more and more of its national wealth.

In 2008, the world of the Bilderbergers is now suddenly and unexpectedly threatened. The western power base built on the foundation of central banking has encountered an unexpected problem. The debt-based western world of the Bildebergers has now collided head-on with the savings-based world of the east.

CAPITALISM IS NOT COMMERCE THE COIN OF THE REALM BECOMES THE CON OF THE REALM

Capitalism is the description of the wholesale introduction of credit into the world of commerce. Prior to the introduction of the Bank of England’s debt-based money, the words "banker" and "capitalism" did not even exist. The previous description of banking was "money-lending", an avocation made possible by the charging of interest on the lending of gold.

The utterly brilliant ascent of the money-lenders was made possible by their pact with government, first with King William of England, wherein private bankers would be allowed to issue public currency on which they could charge interest just as they had previously with gold—and government could then spend whatever it wished of the public’s money, usually on war.

The advantages are obvious, at least to the bankers and governments. Over time, however, the credit based "money" turns into debt on which compounding interest is levied. In this system, time is the enemy as time compounds debts as well as the amount of paper money causing a continual debasing of previously issued currency.

THE MORE PAPER MONEY PRINTED THE LESS ITS VALUE

The ultimate seduction of credit lies in its ability to deceive the debtor into believing that it is real money he or she has. It is not. Credit and debt are two sides of the same coin, albeit a coin of highly dubious origin.

The two-sided coin of credit and debt was substituted for gold and silver in an arrangement that served bankers and government, not producers and savers; and, much to the chagrin of the Bilderbergers and their bankers, the rest of the world, sic producers and savers, are now beginning to catch on to this increasingly obvious truth.

The recent rapid rise in the price of oil is a reflection of the intention of oil producers to no longer automatically trade their limited supply of oil for an unlimited and continually devaluing supply of paper money.

The current volatility in the price of gold and silver is a reflection of the death throes of the Bilderberger’s regime of paper money. No paper money system has ever lasted, all have ended in failure and disaster and this present system will end the same way—no matter what efforts are exerted on the behalf of paper money.

IT’S YOUR CHOICE PAPER, GOLD, OR SILVER

It was the bankers of the west that invented this game of charades where credit and debt masquerade as money. It is a charade that has lasted three hundred years. All games end, however, and this game is ending now, gratis of the universe whose intelligent hand Buckminster Fuller saw everywhere, even in our mistakes.

Bucky maintained that mistakes are an integral part of learning (see Fuller’s Mistake Mystique, see (_http://www.flighttogenius.com/mm_ebook.pdf), Fuller maintained that the universe evolves by mistakes, learning ever more as it does so—and that includes mankind—no matter how dissociated our minds think we are from the originating phenomena of life.

In early June, as we in the Positive Deviant Network walked through Lakeview Prison in Dunkirk, NY, we saw a slogan prominently painted on a wall. In that prison, especially, its truth was obvious:

LEARNING IS HAPPENING

And, so it is. It is a lesson the bankers and the Bilderbergers will soon understand.

POWER IS NO MORE CONTROL THAN CREDIT IS MONEY

It's even worse than you imagine, DB. It's the Ancient Illuminated Seers of Bavaria, founded in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt in Germany, usually known as the Illuminati, behind it all. Every conspiracy theory you've ever heard is true, and the Illuminati run them all. You can look it up. It all sounds like a paranoid fantasy, by design, so "right thinking" people will dismiss it as nonsense. Weishaupt didn't actually start the movement, it's really a continuation of a global system that started with the scientists and mystics of Atlantis 30,000 years ago before a major solar flare hit the earth at the moment when Atlantis happened to be facing it directly. They knew it was coming, so they set up a refuge for themselves in a remote part of Tibet. The Illuminati are responsible for all the mayhem and destruction around the world, because the process of transcendental illumination that generates their special knowledge and powers requires the psychic energy of many souls, and the easiest way to collect it is to kill off a whole lot of people at once. All the wars around the world throughout human history, all the mass loss of life, has been the Illuminati harvesting psychic energy. The 20th century was particularly good for them, and the 21st looks set to be pretty good too. And the date of Weishaupt's emergence, 1776, is no coincidence. The founders of the United States were Illuminati, the eye in the pyramid on U.S. currency has been one of the symbols of the Illuminati since Atlantean times. Their schemes operate on time frames of hundreds and thousands of years, but they're all about collecting psychic energy and joining the universal consciousness, becoming one with the immortality of the cosmos.
You must be having a party tonight, enjoy yourself

I know but you know where the reasoning goes after a bit and I would avoid that like the plague it is, someone else would not be kidding and people would have to burn for it.

Cauliflower.

How appropriate.

One and two word sentences punctuated with grunts no doubt. How indicative of the lesser breeds. Probably no cauliflower in childhood.

World Bank Secret Report confirms Biofuel Cause of World Food Crisis

By F. William Engdahl

Global Research, July 10, 2008

A secret study by the World Bank, which reportedly has not been made public on pressure from the Bush Administration, concludes that bio-fuel cultivation in especially the USA and EU are directly responsible for the current explosion in grain and food prices worldwide. The US Government at the recent Rome UN Food Summit claimed that "only 3% of food prices" were due to bio-fuels. The World Bank secret report says that at least 75% of the recent price rises are due to land being removed from agriculture—mainly maize in North America and rapeseed and corn in the EU—in order to grow crops to be burned for vehicle fuel. The World Bank study confirms what we wrote more than a year ago about the madness of bio-fuels. It fits the agenda described in the 1970’s by Henry Kissinger, namely, ‘If you control the food you control the people.’

According to the London Guardian newspaper which has been given a copy of the suppressed report, the World Bank study was completed in April, well before the June Rome Food Summit, but was deliberately suppressed as "embarrassing to the position of the Bush Administration." The President of the World Bank, Robert Zoellick, is a former top Bush Administration official. Washington is trying to use a crisis which its bio-fuel subsidies created, since a new Farm bill passed in 2005, to advance the spread of Genetically Manipulated Organisms such as GMO maize, soybeans, rice and other crops patented by Monsanto and other "gene giants."
Their strategy is to use the explosive rise in grain prices worldwide, a rise fuelled by hedge funds and troubled US and European banks and investment funds pouring billions of dollars into speculation that grain prices will continue to soar. In other words, the food "crisis" is a crisis of speculation in food futures. The planned EU and USA bio-fuel acreage quotas and the periodic droughts and floods in key growing regions such as the USA Midwest then provide backdrop for speculative price run-ups. But the main driver is that tens of millions of hectares of prime agriculture land in the world’s two largest food export regions—the USA and the EU-- are being permanently removed from food production in order to grow raw material to be burned for vehicle fuel.
The suppressed study
The World Bank study, the most detailed analysis of the global food crisis so far, concludes that bio-fuels have forced "food prices up by 75%." That is far more than previous estimates. That is a damning refutation of the politically-motivated US Department of Agriculture estimate that plant-derived fuels add only 3% to food prices. The report is expected to increase pressure on the European Union governments as well as Washington to change their present bio-fuel subsidy and support policies.
The report has been leaked just days before the important annual Group of 8 industrial nation leaders’ summit held in Hokkaido Japan. The food crisis will be a major topic there as pressure on governments grows to do something.
The World Bank report estimates that doubling and tripling of world food prices in the past three years have forced an added 100 million people below the poverty line. That has triggered food riots from Bangladesh to Egypt.
The report as well calculates that even the successive droughts in Australia and other major food regions have had only a "marginal" impact on food prices.
Within the EU, for example, as of April all vehicles in the UK must contain fuel with at least 2.5% bio-fuel. The EU has in place a target of mandatory 20% by 2020, a staggering amount.
George W. Bush has cynically claimed higher food prices are merely due to higher demand from India and China. The leaked World Bank study refutes that: "Rapid income growth in developing countries has not led to large increases in global grain consumption and was not a major factor responsible for the large price increases."
"Without the increase in bio-fuels, global wheat and maize stocks would not have declined appreciably and price increases due to other factors would have been moderate," the World Bank report states. The basket of food prices examined in the study rose by 140% between 2002 and February 2008. Higher energy and fertiliser prices accounted for an increase of only 15%. Bio-fuels have been responsible for a 75% jump over that period.
The study demonstrates that production of bio-fuels has distorted food markets in three main ways. First, it has diverted grain away from food for fuel, with over a third of US corn now used to produce ethanol and about half of vegetable oils in the EU going to production of bio-diesel. Second, farmers have been encouraged to set land aside for bio-fuel production. Third, it has sparked financial speculation in grains, driving prices up higher.
The real agenda behind the food crisis
The World Bank study is the first to include all three factors. What is missing from the World Bank study however is the longer-term geopolitical agenda behind the present global food and energy crises. As I document in great detail in my book, Seeds of Destruction: The Hidden Agenda of Genetic Manipulation, the long term agenda of powerful leading circles in the West, particularly represented in tax exempt private foundations such as the Rockefeller, Ford and Gates foundations and the private wealth behind them, is a long term agenda of population reduction, in the interests of the global economic and financial elites.
Food scarcity, higher prices for basic foods in developing countries as well as control of food seeds through patent and Terminator suicide seed sales by Monsanto, Syngenta, DuPont, Dow, BASF, Bayer and a few select agriculture chemical seed giants—the "horsemen of the GMO Apokalypse," have been developed to advance the agenda of massive depopulation of the developing world.
The policy goes back, as the book documents in detail, to the early years of the 20th Century when Rockefeller, Carnegie, Harriman, Gamble, H.G. Wells, Margaret Meade, and other wealthy circles backed the development of eugenics research. The Rockefeller Foundation financed the eugenics and forced sterilization research at the Berlin Kaiser Wilhelm Institute (today's Max Planck Institute) until it became too politically hot in 1939.
. After the end of the war, Rockefeller and others in the eugenics movement decided for political reasons to change the name of eugenics. The new name they chose was "genetics." GMO is a project, based on wrong science, financed with over $100 million of private money from the Rockefeller Foundation. The ultimate aim is for the first time in history to control life on the planet. As Henry Kissinger put in during the 1970’s food crisis, "control the food and you control the people."
In this light it is worth noting that as a solution to a crisis which it deliberately created by its massive government subsidies to farmers to grow bio-fuels instead of food, the Bush Administration made and continues to make a major pressure at the Rome Food Summit in early June and after, to open the doors to GMO as the alleged "solution" to world hunger.
On June 13, just after the Rome UN Food Summit, John Negroponte, US Deputy Secretary of State, stated, ""We therefore are strongly encouraging countries to remove barriers to the use of innovative plant and animal production technologies, including biotechnology," adding, "Biotechnology tools can help speed the development of crops with higher yields, higher nutrition value, better resistance to pests and diseases, and stronger food system resilience in the face of climate change." Washington and the GMO companies now use the more deceptive term, "biotechnology" instead of the controversial GMO term, in a linguistic ploy to overcome opposition.
Independent scientific studies and countless farmer reports have shown that long-term planting of GMO or bio-tech crops as the gene giants prefer to call it, far from giving higher crop yields, lowers the yields and development of resistant "super-weeds" usually mean more, not less Roundup or other GMO-paired ch
