A Phoenix man bought a rare Swiss watch for $5.99 at a Goodwill and later sold it for a whopping $35,000, reports say.
Watch collector Zach Norris told KTVK he went to the thrift store to look for a golf pull cart, but happened to come across a 1959 Jaeger-LeCoultre diving watch.
"I didn't even want to give it to her to scan," he told the station. "I was like, 'You can scan it in my hand if you want to.' I just didn't want to let it go."
Norris said the watch is "not a very fancy-looking piece," which could explain why it went undetected, the report says.
Norris said a collector in San Francisco bought the piece for $35,000.
He said he donated some of the profits back to Goodwill, and plans to use the rest for his wedding.
