HBC expanding its horizons.......

According to insiders, the American owned HBC has decided to go into the discount business, i.e., Giant Tiger etc., with the opening of Fields stores in strategic areas across the country.
Will this be good or bad for us?

Have not heard or seen a Giant Tiger or Fields store. HBC has Zellers, their low end store - I wouldn't call Zellers a discount store. They sell specialize in low end brands which are cheaper.
