OIL = $75 per barrel
Venti Coffee = $2.05

1 barrel = 42 gallons
1 Venti Starbucks coffee = 20 ounces (2 cups)
1 gallon = 16 cups
42 gallons = 672 cups (336 venti coffees)

1 cup of Venti OPEC is approximately $0.23. Starbucks is about 8.9 times more expensive than OPEC.

And yet you pay for the coffee still!

(As a side note, is the venti coffee in C$ or US$ because oil is in US$)

I stopped drinking coffee a month ago, so I'm a little hazy on the price, but I think its around $1.75 or $1.80 at Starbucks right now in the US.

However, your point still holds. Starbucks is more expensive than oil. People should buy Nabob or Maxwell House then!
