Consuming Cartoons

I was not comfortable today when I saw what our Kids are watching on the cartoons on TV .

It was an American channel, but on Cdn cable...
10 to 12 yr old girls with impossibly long legs and skinny bodies dressing like whores with jewelry and makeup, their peer group boys trying to impress them with NumChucks.
Then a girl borrows dads car and her friend steals it for a little joyride, "and oh what hilarity ensues".

OK, so it is just cartoons. No way... this is "try to be more like me reality TV". Is that how we pictured our babies to grow up at such a young age? Not in my world.

This American culture is disgusting. Canada participates to much.
Combined with the Cdn ban on smoking on TV that is violated by American programs on our cable networks, perhaps it is time to restrict the off -colour American programs in Canada.

Limit them to"pay-per-specific-channel or show if you want " , but not for basic cable consumption, it is just too wicked.
