Bell Canada >> WARNING WARNING WARNING (18006670123)

I am ballistic. Bell just took out almost $700.00 from my account via 2 auto withdrawals 2 days apart. They say it was a mistake and it will take 4 to 6 weeks to issue me a refund. That is pure, unadulterated theft as far as I can see. What kind of company is this anyways?
Not too mention changing the billing locations last May and not telling me, has caused me to run up some big bills on calls that were previously free.
I am just livid.
Stay far, far away from Bell!!!! You have been warned.

Yep i agree with you , i am just waiting to get my next bill and then i am going to axe them ... I am going to take up the prepaid option until my contract is up , this way they can't penalize me for ending my contract ...

Update. I finally received my money back after 5 weeks. I had to phone them again and again. At one point they had done nothing due to conflicting service agents reports.
They refuse to talk about the area/billing changes refund and letting me out of the contract at their cost.
Better Business Bureau is also investigating my claims. They are still running a recorded message at 18006670123 or star 611(if you are unlucky enough to have their phone) trying to console irrate customers.

Send them a bill for interest at let's say 23.25 %. Maybe a $ 25 handling fee for the bank....

My friend, no need to put so many warnings. The word, Canada itself is way more than enough to raise a red flag.

<Affix by Administration: Geraldi, if you're coming here anymore to try and rile people up, forget it. This forum is for discussions only and unfounded attacks on this country will no longer be tolerated.>

The better business bureau, and threaten them that you'll leave. It seems to me you're doing all you can. Out here in Victoria we have Telus, which is also bad.

Thats what I did and with the portability, I would never go back to a land line. Plus the cost for me is a bit cheaper than a Telus land line. Telus charges to much for extras like call display and voice mail. I actually got a good deal with bell and got 4 phones.

I was thinking about getting a phone with an old-fashioned dial instead of these push buttons. I have a problem with the cats making calls...

why don't you get a Voice Over IP service (VOIP), they are pretty cheap, calls are decent quality and all for a fraction of the prive of regular services offered by bell/telus.

I hear so many complaints about Bell Canada. A woman customer was on the news recently about over billing.
