Is the world ready for a caffeinated toothpaste?
Developers of Power Toothpaste certainly hope so.
They've spent the past year fine-tuning their new creation, and raising money to take it to market.
The toothpaste is supposed to give you "a rush while you brush." Unlike coffee, the effects of the caffeine, through brushing, can be felt almost immediately, the makers claim on their website.
"Why wait an hour just to wait in line at Starbucks?" says CEO Dan Meropol.
So far the startup has raised nearly US$17,000 of its goal of US$42,500 to do a first production run.
