Fascists are as a general rule anti-labour, anti-socialist, anti-communist for sure and pro- authoritarian and pro- money, they build and maintain thier power structures on the backs of the masses and concentrate power and wealth at the top of society. Hitler-Thysenn Musolini and Franco are three of the most famous of the twentyith century, there are many new modern fascists., among them are definitely Harper and Bush, Bush can be forgiven though because he's retarded and dosn't realy know. Oh ya I forgot they are nationalistic pricks usually, but nowadays you can substitute nation for filthy rich.

Do you even know what the word means?
that's easy

In the current venacular fascism is right-wing collectivism. More precisely it is corporatism involving relationships between business and government that bypass the democratic process. Many people have trouble defining it because it manifests itself in many forms. Among its current manifestations it can be discerned from treaties and agreements that protect business from changes in the political climate. A good example of that is those parts of the NAFTA agreement that ensure Strahl's rapid response announcement today regarding what he and Harper call a plebicite cannot be reversed by his or any subsequent government without at the very least a very substantial out-of-court settlement with private sector barley reselling companies.

Libertarians, of course, when not being otherwise totally circumspect about it will describe this as socialism as evidenced by Harper's intellectual hero FA Hayek who used the word fascism so sparingly it never made it into the index of the 50th anniversary edition of The Road to Serfdom even though it was written as a direct response to the economic forces that drove the second world war and for whom it wouldn't have been out of character to refer to the bunny hop as a communist plot.

Fascism.

It would be nice if the people giving bad reps would sign their names.

Yeah, comparing our Conservative Party is like the USA's Democratic Party

And the Liberals are like the USA's Libertarian party.

Canada is generally more left, because we were branded as that in the 60s and the rights moved down south and the lefties moved north... sort of like the lefts migration to San Francisco.

Canada has developed into a lefty nation, and I am trying to escape it by moving to the USA or Tory Land Alberta.

It's some kind of game. I have a few reds but know one will leave their name. Most of the time you can tell who it was though.

What is the NDP?

Is it some sort of professional sports league up in Canada or something?

HaHa! Good one. Just about as meaningful, and follow about the same principles. Profess to be for the "little guy" while assuring that the guys at the top reap the benefits.

They are both right of center in there countries but even our conservatives are still left of the democrats. What issues they advocate are similiar but the states is way to the right of Canada.
Which pretty much means you are clueless if you think the Dems are to the right of your cons.

Yes axehole I do. It means Harper or Bush.
Can you back that up with anything substancial, or just more of your typical nonsensical socialist clap trap?
Quoting RUEZ
You can't be taken seriously if you're going to honestly call Bush and Harper fascists.
He can't be taken seriously at the best of times.

That could just as easily apply to the Liberals hun.

Not much hope of that, cowards die a thousand deaths and apply rep points in their death throws.
