Anyone using the newest version of Messenger? I'm gun shy about downloading it ... so many things conflict with Norton Internet Security!! Is it worth the hassle?

I wouldn't really say it's worth the hassle. A couple of new (and somewhat annoying) features suchs as extremely scaled avatars as user icons.
But you're gonna have to upgrade sometime! Unless you like the "cute little reminders" that pop up all the time.
