Well it could be 3 things actually.

1- Make sure you've updated to Adware 6 and the latest reference file

2- Go to an online virus scanning site like http://www.pandasoftware.com and click on panda active scan or http://www.housecall.antivirus.com and scan your computer.

3- Last idea is to read my article on how to clea n up the garbage temp files located at http://www.thesoftwarecorner.com/computing/hidetracks.shtml

You will be shown how to delete temporary files or do the easy thing:

Start Internet Explorer (you could be offline for this)
Click on Tools->Internet Options and there on the middle of that screen choose Delete Cookies and Delete Files and you might as well choose Clear History

You know what you should do... Do a search for "Popup Ad Filter", it's the name of a very handy little program I use.. and it's shareware.

Popup Ad Filter (PAF) is the first and unique anti-popup product that can block 100% annoying popup ads absolutely automatically while never interfere with user's navigation.

While PAF is running, it tells Internet Explorer to stop all unsolicited windows from being downloaded and appearing. Unlike most pop-up killers,

there's no need to download the popup ads;
Your bandwidth is saved for other running browsers!
there's no need to set up for particular websites or keywords;
Very easy to use!
there's no need to wait while a new window appears and disappears;
You won't be disturbed from screen flash!
there's no need of additional option when you open a new window;
PAF only blocks unsolicited pop-up windows while never prevents you to open any new window!

I think Bob is referring to Messenger spam. Messenger spam reminds me a lot of the netbus days!

I hate those sites where popups just keep coming up after you close them... its like a giant chain! :(
