Your download speed : 19506 bps, or 19 kbps.
A 2.3 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 1428571 bps, or 1428 kbps.

Your upload speed is much faster than down.. have you tweaked?
Your connection hardly qualified as broadband, at least in that test

-----------------------------------------------------------------
No! I have not tweaked!

Here's the results from another server:

2002-11-29 13:09:35 EST: 40 / 82
Your download speed : 40371 bps, or 40 kbps.
A 4.9 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 82186 bps, or 82 kbps.

Your upload speed is much faster than down.. have you tweaked?
Your connection hardly qualified as broadband, at least in that test

well, my download is still slower than my upload, which makes absolutely no sense. And both speeds are extremely slow now!

(BTW, im not in the middle of downloading or uploading anything right now). ISP is THT (The higher technology www.tht.net)

http://www.dslreports.com/tools and run a tweak test, post the URL for the results here and I'll have a look and see if we can't tweak you to get better performance.

You look pretty good your RWIN is lower then the recommended of 24038, if you want to raise it download Dr.TCP from that page, open it and choose your Ethernet card from the drop down menu. Set your Receive Window to the value I posted, close Dr.TCP and reboot.

And your MTU is 1440. You may want to up it to 1480 the max in Windows XP PPPoE.

Thats interesting.. Especially for a DSL line. Maybe there's a messup on the provider's side? If not, maybe the speed test is just a tad off ?

Here's my last speed test for the forums. Didn't mean to flood it or anything. But I think they can be relevant to people who are looking for an ISP in the Toronto area.

2002-12-17 16:20:07 EST: 799 / 132
Your download speed : 799027 bps, or 799 kbps.
A 97.5 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 132056 bps, or 132 kbps.

======================================

Their customer service is alright
They are quite slow on delivery of your modem
They can provide some helpful solutions some of the time
And I rate their tech support as medium (on a scale of 1 to 10, I Give them a 7/10.. Compared to Sympatico sitting at 2/10)
