I'm pondering purchasing a ps2, not only because of the hype that's still hanging around it, my obsession with Sony and the cool graphics on an NTSC screen, but because of the current and future functionality and the new price!

I'm thinking that pretty soon, it will die off like PS1 did, and an even newer console is out. I have enough trouble staying up to date with my computer.

Any other reasons why and why not buy ps2?

Yes the PS2 is still a good gaming machine, and since they are selling for $50-$75 are a good buy. Games are still on sale for 2 for $15.

Our PS3 was purchased when they first came out. We can play PS2 games on our PS3, unlike the new models of PS3.

So is a PS3 worth getting for an old CRT non-HD tv, or would that be a perfect situation for a PS2?

I never did buy a PS2 but I definitely have two PS3s now One is jailbroken so I can play my favourite NES games.

We have a Wii and PS3, no XBox in this house, though Jamie is tempted, so she can play a game online with a friend of hers. My boss has three of them at his place. He's been into first person shooters since Doom. I loved that game too, and Wolfenstein. A fellow at work has Duke Nukem on his iPhone
