My Rogers cable modem works stand-alone, but I cannot get it to run through my Linksys router after setting it up for auto IP (it works fine as PPoE with sympatico). Anybody know why? I'm running XP. Thanks

Make sure you have it set to DHCP...not sure if that is the same as auto IP. Also make sure your mac address is correct.

Plug the modem back into the nic card and release the IP, hook it back into the router and renew ip

You could hook it up thru the linksys, and if nothing else works try setting DHCP on and set your gateway as the routers internal ip address, this should work if you cant get it to work any other way.
