I'm sorry, but as a supporter of fair trade I cannot accept your offer. You have far more goons in Washington than we have in Canada which would lead to a flooding of our market and a devaluation of goons in developing nations that are also part of the goon market.

If you want to move to Canada you can't do better then the coast of BC and Vancouver Island. We don't have winters that are cold enough to kill you just stepping outside. We don't have huge piles of snow.

And we don't have stacks of rednecks (*cough*Alberta*cough*) Alberta is the Texas of Canada.

I've just moved to Victoria from Vancouver and I have to say I like it here. The people are all nice. Except for the people in the Legislature. Gordon Campbell and his friends are bastards. I'd like to see the lot of them run out of the country on a splintery rail. But I digress. And it's smaller then Vancouver which I kind of like.

I think they should move to Winnipeg. Get the real Canadian experience. Learn to discuss block heaters, R-values, the importance of Thinsulate, and the best brand of snowblower.

Ontario will give you the most opportunity. All the good people in Canada live there.
Hmmm...Isn't Parliment in Ontario ? :P

yes........and that rules out the "good people" notion immediately..

I used to work for a Politician. *used* being the operative word.

They should all be placed in a receptacle much like Auschwitz. Anyone who seriously expects a politician to not be blinded by their sudden self-perceived importance, should go and work for one. Eye-opening is the word to describe it.

Having said that... I want to move to this place called Toronto, which apparently is 'The centre of the Universe' I'd like to know more about that, and less about the politicians, and the other added points of discrepancy known as race / religion / creed.

can anyone seriously engage me in describing some of the cultural definitions of canadian provinces? I understand the quebecois thing, but I'm looking more for an understanding on location / demographic / lifestyle / 'habit' and routine .. by routine I dont mean your 9-5, I mean holidays, special occasions of national significance, quirky odd things peculiar to a region etc. for example, where I live, the further north you reside, the more your dialect changes, from fast to slow, clear to drawl, and there's also that 'eh' thing you guys have, but we say 'ay' (once again further north it becomes 'hey') stuff like this example is what I'm interested in, quirky things that make canucks... Canucks.

any help?? please? even if you just tell me what your favourite thing to do on a weekend is, would help me learn a little more. Cheers

I'm having issues putting together my Quebec/Canada applications... What on earth is a certified true copy? I have to make copies of my diplomas, obviously, but how do I "certify" it?

[quote=Frappuccino Dibs;617417]Some of you may or may not know that Mrs Dibs and myself put together our application from Immagration to Canada and sent it in arounf February this year.

We were hoping to possibly move to Vancouver Island (which I would personally say is a fantastic place).

Bingo, you just hit the jackpot, it is wonderful here, have been here now for
26 yrs, and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Anywhere on the island, perhaps with exception of Port Hardy, (too much rain
and fog).

JoeyB

Why would you want to go and give a place like that a bad name by filling it with Canadian politicians....

Nasty just plain nasty!
