For we who have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on God) do enter that rest. HEBREWS 4:3
It is easy to get overcommitted, burned out, bummed out, worn out, and stressed out if you are trying to keep up with too many commitments. It is out of balance to try to do everything. If you are happy doing what you do, keep doing it. But if it wears you out and robs you of peace, don't do it. What sense does it make to commit to something, and then murmur and complain about it while you are doing it?

Being overcommitted will frustrate you. Anxiety is usually a sign that God never told you to do what you are doing in the first place. To avoid frustration in your life, keep in balance.
Talk to God Anywhere
Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? 1 CORINTHIANS 6:19

The angel of the Lord said to Moses, "Take the shoes off your feet, for the ground on which you stand is holy ground" (see Exodus 3:5). The ground was holy because the Holy One was there. Now through faith in Jesus, you are the temple of the Holy Ghost. Everywhere you go becomes a holy place because the Holy One dwells in you. God is not in a building, where you can only visit Him on Sunday morning. He is with you everywhere you go. You can talk to Him while you vacuum, or while you change the oil in your car. When you let God become involved in every aspect of your life, every day becomes exciting.
Pray All Day
Let my prayer be set forth as incense before You, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. PSALM 141:2
God wants to be the centre of your life: the center of your conversation, the center of your entertainment, and the centre of your relationships. Prayer keeps Him in the centre of all you do.

Years ago I could have told you that I prayed an hour every day. But now, I couldn't even determine how long I pray, because I just pray every time I see or feel a need. I pray while driving. I pray while working, and while relaxing. Sometimes I just stop what I am doing and praise God, and that is prayer too. I cast my cares on Him and say, "Lord, I am not going to worry about anything today; I am giving it to You." Prayer should be like breathing, natural to do anywhere you are.

Father, with all respect, I am utterly shocked that you would share anything written by a Protestant heretic!Joyce Meyers is one of those "born-again" types on tv. I'm assuming you don't know who she is?

Do you disagree with what she has to say in this article M?

LOL Mikey loosin up! Is the message valid? I have a board that is directly in front of me, it has phrases I live by......one is.....Use the message NOT the messanger! If the message is valid who cares who said it? Theres many sayings from your christ I use and I follow. But I dont care who says it......its a truth and truth is all that counts.

Not necessarily, but I am shocked that a priest would even read anything from a protestant, let alone share it on a public forum. I would expect him to use Catholic sources.

If priests only ever looked within our own religion, I'd never listen to a single one of them. Studying and understanding other religions is an important part of their training. It seems to me protestants don't fit into any special category of exclusion to that. Interfaith discussion is important, even if you don't agree with the other faith, some common grounds are to be found.

Michael, with respect as well, you miss the message because you're worried about the affiliation of the messenger! Is Christ restricted by our Church? Must He only speak through Catholic voices?

I have heard Him in the cries of a dying child in hospital and in the tears of the parents. I have heard Him when I am in a soup kitchen helping people to eat and to not be afraid. I have heard His voice in all those things which are good and pure of this world. The Church does not reject anything that is good and does not contradict the faith. God moves as the wind amongst the world, so that even when people are unaware of it, they speak through the wisdom of the Church He established. Read the words, Michael, and if they are contrary to what Holy Mother Church has always taught, by all means reject them. But if they are not, live them.

What are your ideas about this article, Sanctus?

A message, one of relationship and love. A message all of us need to absorb. In essence, that we must be in contact with our God for the relationship between us to grow. That when we truly turn our hearts and souls over to Him, we will find greater peace and happiness. It is the message from the beginnings of time, when mankind walked in harmony with God, before they rejected His companionship and disobeyed His voice. Pray, pray without ceasing, make our every second a prayer.

Sanctus, I will grant you my best deserved applause. I take it you believe this from your heart! That was not a question but a statement.

There are two possibilities here on your post which I see as maybe premeditated.
One is that you understand and believe what was written as written, and two, you didn't comment on it to see what reaction it would generate. (Alterer motive.)

Well, applause from me and shock from others.

"Feed my sheep"

Joh 21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Peter did not understand and was grieved. Likewise, the sheep need to be fed the milk and the meat of the word of God. Sometimes, over and over and over.
