Not this catholic! I have absolutely no use for the church, and never will again.

A neighbor and I were chatting at New Years. He mentioned he was Catholic, but doesn't believe in Heaven, Hell, God, or going to church. When I asked why he'd call himself Catholic then, he just stared at me confused. It seems to be more of a way of explaining where you've come from now, than of explaining where you're at in life.

thats what sanctus always says..that you cant call yourself a catholic if you dont believe in the faith and dont go to mass. that makes sense to me too.

Bring in the kids, and the adults will follow.

Ugh. Over my cold dead body.

Ish, that could have been worded better.

What has this to do with the OP?

Then you should cease labelling yourself as Catholic.

Not that I agree with the article, as being Catholic I have never heard anyone discuss evangelizing, but I can see the reasons why some would want to get out literature correcting some of the misconceptions. I think any religion would like to get out there and correct some of the preconceived notions people have about it, and explain the root of why they do and believe what they do.
I'm sure plenty of people would like to get out there are give some religious folks some literature to clear up misconceptions of them as well.

It was a response to someone elses post. But I can't seem to find the post that I made that you quoted.

Have you some sort of problem?

Just asking. You seemed to have an issue, that's the impression I got from your question. Again, I don't know where the original post for that went...unless I am missing something.
